Not sure if they will sign but very pleased we are at least trying to keep Ryan Hill and Harry Phipps with offers of new contracts. I think Conor Lawless could be a good player for us but has been very injury prone for last couple of seasons so surprised offered new terms.
Will now see over coming days and weeks how many new players come into club

I’m happy with that retained list, just need Phipps to sign.
Always going to lose Pereira , would like to have dumped Umerah but hopefully we’ll replace
him with a decent centre forward

Disappointed that Sam Ling has been released as he was always good value as a defender. No doubt a National League side will pick him up, maybe even Southend.

Hector & Hessenthaler gone is great news. As for Umerah, N’Guessan and Harrack I expect and hope that they move on. Just going to be tough to find someone stupid to take the latter two. Thanks again James King.

I’m very optimistic about Phipps and Hill renegotiations. If they wanted to sign elsewhere they would have declined earlier like what Easty, Rees and Striz did. So they must be open to staying around. Phipps I think was always going to stay, but Hill now with his old manager, I think he will rejoin too.

Pretty fair retained list all things said and done. It would have been nice if we kept Louis Jones, as he would have been great in the NLS. But I guess Turner will have to do…

Ollie Hawkins was released by Gillingham. I would welcome him back

Always liked Lingy, gave 100% every time.

Lingy great but if he's fit he's a NL player and if he's not then he's a big risk.

Didn't fancy Jones much personally. Bit surprised they're speaking to Harvey but could be ok backup.

Just hope we can offload the likes of N'Guessan, Rendall, Harrack, Khaleel. But imagine we might have to contribute financially to do so, nobody is going to seriously want to take over their contracts.

Umerah barely broke sweat all season until the
desperate last games, then he missed absolute
sitters at Solihull that would have kept us up.

Agree on most of those but I quite liked Khaleel in his brief appearances and how he could get a decent run in this division.

Only playing Devil's Advocate on Rendall but could the new manager play him in the middle? Most of last year we were all commenting on him not being a natural full back so if he's here for the season, surely stick him in the centre of defence.

Similar DA perspective on N'Guessan but would he not be a perfect number 6 at this lower level to build one of two younger midfielders like Adigun around?

I have no idea why we brought Rendall in as a CB then never played him there. He is so limited on the ball, yet we put him at RB where he is expected to contribute to the attack. I think he's probably ok as a stopper next to someone who can marshall him and cover when he goes diving in. Maybe we'll find out this season.

I also thought Khaleel looked ok but it was very strange Young brought him in then often left him out of the squad entirely. Ultimately I guess him and Adigun would be competing for the same position tho.

Two reasons behind this… 1st young was shit as a manager and 2nd he is a c#nt, couldn’t manage a nursery. Nothing personal

Shame about Lingy, nobody tried harder than him, always put in a good shift.
We wanted a total rebuild, maybe some of the mediocrity will shine in this league.

Not one of ours anymore, but nice to see Aaron Blair get a chance in the National League this season having just signed for Eastleigh... Shame we didn't have him last season in the squad with the lack of goals from our strikers

A bit random but would anyone be against bringing Matt Robinson back to the club?
