@radiostu is on Twitter suggesting the club rename the pressbox The David Simpson Press Box.

Forget the circumstances how he left the club but for being a Director of the Club for 27 years and how he gave himself tirelessly for the club. I think it is a fantastic idea.

You don’t know that.
Simmo was hugely loved and respected by so many press visitors and scouts across the world of football. He was a director of the club for over 25 years and for many of them had his home up as surety for the club’s bank loans.
Aside from being a lovely tribute and way to remember him, it would also be a fabulous bit of positive PR for the club.
Talk to any of the visitors to the press box
they all remember how well Simmo looked after them and they used to enjoy coming to our club as a result.
