We have five games remaining of which four of those are against teams above us and therefore in contention for a playoff place. This is why our chances of getting into them would be something of a minor miracle.
Having said that, looking at all the remaining fixtures it is amazing how many of those in the top eleven in the league are still to play each other and could have a huge importance on the final league table standings.
What it does seem to prove is since the introduction of playoffs, it now gives lots of clubs something to play for rather that boring meaningless end of season games that use to often exist at this time of the season.
Playoffs
Is there any point in talking about playoffs?
This season’s managerial farce is on a par with last season’s in my opinion, the negative approach by Bradbury condemned us to at least a second year in NLS, I’m almost tempted to say he was as bad as Young but that would be cruel on Bradbury. A complete reset starting now would give us a chance of promotion next season, with Mr Thompson retiring and new investors on board it gives a little bit of hope but recent history warns against getting any hopes up too prematurely.

My hopes are far from high, but from a mathematical point of view we still need to try to get maximum points until we lose another game and that would be the end of it. Bradbury managed to lose so many points for us during the season with his boring tactics that have sealed our fate for another season in this division.BB-Dagger wrote: Mon Mar 30, 2026 12:22 pm Is there any point in talking about playoffs?
