I am sure the new signings must have been told, otherwise they are signing to a club with no guarantee the club will even start the season. How can they be guaranteed they are getting paid if we have NO OWNERS?
It would be nice to get an update from Club Underdog but as I have said before it hasn’t been in their DNA up to now so need to be patient.
On the positive side we have signed eight players already with some transfer fees to these clubs paid so that would indicate they are still continuing to finance the club.
It is also in their interest to continue this and I believe have a legal commitment to do so for something like 5 years or so or until they can sell their interest to another consortium
As for nobody turning up for friendlies that is just nonsense.

Ok maybe 1 or 2 people will turn up for friendlies then rather than nobody.
I didn't know Club Underdog had a 5 year legal commitment to finance the club, so that makes a bit more sense why players are signing for us.
It seems a long time ago when it was announced Club Underdog were pulling out and we had new owners in the pipeline who would be taking over. So I believe, obviously guessing that these supposedly new owners have pulled out or their Due Diligence wasn't up to scratch.
Either way it would be good to keep supporters informed of what is going on, but that never seems to be the way with this club.
I've already bought my season ticket, no problem, I'll always be supporting the club, but it would be good to get an official update of where we are now as far as new owners are concerned.

Yeah, I feel the same. It’s just frustrating not knowing what’s going on. We were told Club Underdog were stepping back and new owners were coming in, but it’s been weeks now with nothing. If things have changed or the takeover’s hit a snag, just say so. Additionally, I know there’s certain legal procedures in place, but it would be nice to reveal the names of the alleged investors and the new chairman.

They never said club underdog are stepping back. Only Dan Hall. I wouldn’t be shocked if Underdog/North 6 are still around but with a new chairman on their side

But didn’t it say in the club statement that “there is an introduction of a new ownership consortium”

Nope. It said new investors. Investors does not necessarily mean ownership. It’s very vague, it could be either. So I just wouldn’t rule anything out.

Worth noting that Club Underdog still show us on their website.

Nail on head here.

Dan Hall has rightly been moved on and is left to watch some pony club competition out in California.

The statement from Club Underdog was very ambiguous, possibly purposely so, as they may not have had anything set in stone at that time. Yet it would appear that a new investor has joined the group and hopefully we'll be seeing a new (local) chairman soon.

Ok....just had a quick look there, and I can't see any mention of DRFC......

Maybe I need to edit my earlier post or perhaps we'll find out more tomorrow? (30/6)

I hope we receive a positive announcement soon.
At least we seem to be preparing for the season ahead and buying players.

It looks like our friends at Morecambe FC are in serious trouble and their new ownership bid is on the brink of collapse.

My prediction is that we will hear an announcement maybe in Mid-July. Also, it’s a shame that morecambe are going through a tough time, proper club and some decent fans. Hopefully they get new owners ASAP!!

I've thought all along that Dan Halls position was untenable. He oversaw all the ****** ups ,sackings, James King, Justham etc etc etc oh and he is solely responsible for our relegation. He absolutely had to go.
Clueless idiot.
Wouldn't surprise me if Underdog just parachute in another chairman.

Hall clearly stated at the forum they were looking for additional partners. Hence the whole Serry debacle. I wonder if they've realised it's a lot harder than they thought, or they have burnt enough money and need additional capital. So it wouldn't surprise me at all if we ended up with a long list of owners and no real direction.

Surely they will have to provide updates or announce something this week, right??

I've looked and looked and looked again, and I can't see any mention of Dagenham & Redbridge on there.
