A passionate and honest opinion from Joel with some valid points made in favour of not getting rid of Ben at this time.
It remains to be seen however, if that was a mistake or not and only time will tell.

Decent managers wouldn’t have thrown away as many points as he has this season.

Sick of hearing people say he loves the club. I love the club, doesn’t mean I’d be any good managing them.

A good honest analysis of Ben's departure. None of us know if it was a good or bad decision and time will tell but most supporters will have a lot of sympathy for the guy who is truly a Dagger at heart. What has been disappointing recently has been the amount of verbal abuse that has been thrown around at the manager and the players. They are are human beings who are not impervious to criticism and who are just as disappointed with a performance like Thursdays as those in the stands. Please cut out the abuse and give the players some encouragement. All of us know how good it is to receive encouragement and the players are no different. I know when things are not going well we look for scapegoats and so often choose the men running around in front of us. But they are doing there best and we ought to recognize that.
Farewell Ben, we will miss that smile and clap when you take your place in the dugout. Wish you well in the future.

The players certainly weren’t doing their best in the last two games, some of them have given up even trying. It’s no surprise after Justham’s contract nonsense that some have stopped playing probably because they also think the same is coming for them.

If some of them have "stopped playing" as you say, how by that reckoning do they think they are likely to be picked up by another club?

Same way we picked up a load of sick note players this time around, always someone desperate enough to take them.
