It appears that Eastman is still not fit for game but couple of players back from injury which is encouraging. Connor Wilkinson is in the opposition lineup who was excellent for us a couple of years ago, but hasn’t really progressed since then and now back down to this level. Our home form in recent games has been good so hoping for a positive result.
Solihull seem like a relatively poor outfit this year. They've been hammered by some of the better sides and failed to beat or squeaked past some of the lesser ones.
Having said that, you'd think inconsistent Wilko will be absolutely bang up for this today, and with Eastman out he could very easily take advantage.
We really are down to bare bones. Any points would be welcome. We just need to pick up what we can until we can get a few bodies back. We may have no choice but to risk N'Guessan from the start.

Good game to watch and we certainly had our moments but feel after 100 minutes of it that was probably about the right result. Some of the Referee's running of it though was rather poor and a question mark on it? Looks like we've captured another star in Rutherford and the other star on the day was ex Bee Walker in goal for them, him not there today we certainly would have bagged the other two points.
Thought we should've been out of sight before they scored. On another day it's 4-0 before they've even woken up.
An incredibly frustrating side to play against especially after they equalised. Very similar to Gateshead in that respect except today we didn't take our chances to give them what they deserved.

Well we all know we're rarely capable of seeing a 1-0 out so when we didn't score that second when we had numerous chances you kinda knew what was coming.
I thought Solihull were neat and tidy and certainly once they scored it looked like they might nick it, but I also went think we should have been out of sight. Oh well. Special mention for the ref- he was crap.

Such a shame we could not stick one of those chances away in the first half, still playing well without several players available. Need to win next week or that gap to play offs will seem much bigger.
I really really do not like Grego-Cox. He had some good moments in defence, but on the ball he is shocking. Hill can easily start in his place, and better yet when Hess & N’Guessan are back we can push Rees up and drop him.
Despite the unfortunate result, we can walk away with a lot of positives. Rutherford was fantastic and deserved MoTM. Kalambayi is looking a fantastic signing and Phipps is playing his best football yet. IF we can get Easty, Rendall, Akinola and Ling back then I do feel optimistic about where this side can go.

We won’t be seeing Akinola until at least Jan and I fear Ling is done for the season.
CM will continue to be a problem area I think. Remember we needed to recruit Akinola because we had no legs or ball carrying in there and he's out for a while.
Based solely on what I've seen this season so far, Phipps has probably been our second best CM behind Akinola. If Easty returns soon I'd be putting him straight back in midfield above even Hess and N'Guessan if that's the choice, but likely one of the two will need to be his partner.

A tougher game than the table suggested with Solihull having won their prior three on the road, all against decent opposition, but they should have been dead and buried by half time after so many clear-cut chances put straight down the middle. Reverted to type a bit with our inefficiency in both boxes, needing so many chances to score while conceding far more readily. Conor Wilkinson's would-be winner was blatantly onside too. In the end, definitely two points dropped.
I like the pairing of Phipps and N'Guessan in the middle. Hope to see it brought back on Saturday when Tom Eastman is able to return in defence, though suspect Hessenthaler will get the nod.
