After a solid point at the weekend, we're swiftly back on our travels to the Kingfield Stadium, where we've left empty-handed from each of our five prior visits.
It's a great opportunity to break the rut as Woking have had a difficult start to the season, both games ending in scoreless defeats in which they've suffered a red card, Saturday's recipient Dion Kelly-Evans responsible for breaking the leg of Gateshead midfielder Greg Olley.
He'll be suspended then, and as for us, we'll be without Reece Grego-Cox through ineligibility against his parent club. that might not be the worst thing as it allows us to get greater pace or strength up there. Josh Umerah or Junior Morias will presumably take his place, providing the latter is available following his unspecified absence on Saturday.
Hopefully we can get another positive result, got to be targeting a win here.

Couple of reactionary thoughts to that:
1) Rendall is not right back and hasn’t looked one for a while
2) Ling is a right back and has looked a very good one for an even longer while
3) Someone should introduce Ryan Hill & Frank Vincent tomorrow at training. If they get to know each other they could actually play really well together
4) Morias is not a lone striker. Umerah is. Cox also isn’t
5) Is it too soon to say we miss Appiah-Forson? Our midfield is back to looking so weak and Rees invisible
6) If Stephenson & Rutherford were so sought after by EFL clubs then maybe we should try using them when the likes of Rees, Hill & Vincent are looking so off the boil
7) It is entirely reasonable to expect Strevens to see all of the above and act on it before the 80th minute. In fact, it’s probably something he should feel obligated to do
We always lose to Woking, but they were so poor tonight and our players are 1000 times better than them when they’re fired up. It’s hard to shrug off that loss despite the previous two results. Big turn around needed for Friday

No matter where they are in any league we always lose to that piss pot club.
Shit club, shit ground, shit fans.
Shit hole!!!!!!!
And to top it all it's an old dagger that couldn't hit a cows arse with a banjo that scores the winner!!!

Hmm, yeah..I thought we started brightly and controlled the game for 30 mins or so without creating any real chances. It feels like last season when we started some games well but petered out when the opposition realised we couldn't really hurt them.
Woking are crap and scored with their only meaningful attempt which we obviously should have dealt better with. A frustrating evening, but I can feel more games coming like that unless we buck out ideas up.

Now the SE27 Dagger
That was really piss poor, did our outfit test the Woking goalkeeper once during the whole 90 minutes? Disappointing yet again to lose because the Cards were fairly dogshit too, this place and Halifax goes down as zero point banker all the time, when will we ever learn to change it?
A little worrying to lose against such an awful side. I think they're in a relegation battle, so what does that say about our prospects? They could barely pass the ball 5 yards to each other and seemed happy to waste time at home!
We had the ball for pretty much 75 minutes and created close to nothing. Hilly and Morias look nowhere near it at the moment, the former still not fit after injury and Junior looks like he's enjoyed the summer a bit too much.
The midfield is all wrong. I have no idea why we've gone after N'Guessan because he is so similar to Hess. We don't win any tackles in there, we don't put any pressure on the ball, we just play a lot of slow and safe passes. Rees was anonymous but then he often is - he needs ball into the box and doesn't really contribute as a midfielder.
Rendall is not a right back and although Vincent supplied our most dangerous crosses, he looked suspect in behind again.

I haven’t seen Morias contribute much at all so far this season. Not tall enough to jump for balls in the air and obviously carrying extra weight which is stopping any chance of sprinting past defenders.
I think Ben should try different line up options either from the start or at half time. Morias is definitely not a lone striker option and between them the coaching staff should know this. It needs sorting before we get too far into the season.

Rubbish, Ben needs to up his game as these new owners won’t be putting up with this dross for long as proved with their other clubs. I worry that we have a Sporting Director and a manager signing players, are they players the manager really wants or needs because something is not right. Come Saturday week we will pretty much know what type of season we will be having so a couple wins required by then for it to be a good one or a couple of defeats and your playing bottom third struggle again.
Easy to say in hindsight, but as mentioned above training should identify, surely the Junior is wasted as a lone striker and Ling is the best option we have at right back... training also HAS to identify weaknesses in that midfield 3... these aren't the grumbling of annoyed fans, these are the views easily identified from the stands from even the most cursory of viewing of one or more of our games.
Both full backs yesterday are decent but cannot be the best option we have in the squad given the names within the team. If there are 4 teams poorer than Woking in the league this season then division really is tin pot.
