I think the TBS will be quality next season as a home end. One of my mates who's been an arsenal ST holder since 92 is buying one cos he loves it over there and feels like he's finally found again what football is supposed to be about and has been missing from the prem for a long time.

The whole thing about the swearing is a bit of a non starter for me. I heard far worse as a youngster, as I'm sure many of you did, and it didn't do me any harm. I can understand if parents don't want to expose their children to it but there are other areas to go in the ground and if people think that kids are more innocent than they ever were growing then sadly they're mistaken. The fact they have constant access to the web in there pocket at all times, something that didn't even exist when I was growing up, means they've seen things that they really shouldn't and are far more grown up than any previous generation at a similar age since child labour was abolished!!! And they are smart enough to hide it from their parents!!!

I don't agree with people gratuitously swearing constantly for no reason, it doesn't offend me but does others, but in the heat of the moment I don't see anything wrong with a bit of effing and jeffing. The fact is if you're going to go to the loudest part of the ground it's going to be populated with young, usually intoxicated, men and those of us who haven't grown up so you will encounter industrial language. If it's not for you get a ticket elsewhere. It's not like the ground is gonna sell out soon!!!

Anyway, it's good to see everyone excited about the future and things are definitely on the up!!!

The point about the TBS is for a noise to generate from it surely. If that is achieved having a Family Stand to keep innocent ears from shall we say building site Language only yards away makes no sense because if the move serves its purpose then they are going to be exposed to it .

The obvious solution is to make the Family part of the Ground the other end of the Carling Stand , which by the way this season has been very much under used. Give the away support the now vacant Family Stand and the left hand side of the TBS when needed. As for this bar problem at the back of the Stand make what is a tea bar a bar. There is already another refreshment outlet in that area of the ground.

A few portable fences as often used on building sites could be erected half way along the back of the Stand to keep Segregation .

Have the access to the TBS for home fans via the gate that links it to the Sieve, this access has been used before.Somebody could sit there check the ticket credentials of those trying to gain access and sell excess tickets to anybody who wants to upgrade. Seems to work very well at Exeter and York for away fans by the way.

This simple conversion would not cost a fortune. Matchday revenue from away fans would not be lost and above all else will keep everybody happy.

If kids come to football they are going to hear some industrial language. All people in the stand need to do is stop the really silly stuff, not become a nuns choir.

Giving the kids the best view and hopefully atmosphere in the ground is in order to get them involved and committed as the core fans in 10 and more years time.

Building a bigger fanbase takes time.

Unfortunately, this doesnt work at Viccy road currently because our most vocal fans are now split over all four sides of the ground! Sundays atmosphere in the first half was excellent with nearly 500 of us along one side.

Actually think that FGR have been quite clever in :-
1) Putting the away fans in an open section where the vocal support isnt amplified by a roof and subjected to all kinds of weather
2) Having the PA turned up higher on that same side and partially drowning out the vocal support
3) Having no seating in this area (although I dont agree with it as some fans are less able to stand than others)
4) Having no decent watering holes near the ground - the marquee was a joke!!
5) Having the ground at the top of that bloody hill - horrendous walk up for those who did!
6) Only supplying veggie food options
7) Being a nightmare place to get to by public transport

All these go to lower the morale and comfort of the away fans
This is something our club needs to look at, and to congregate all our vocal fans together. Having a roof on the Bury Road end would achieve this if you had a small seating area at either end for those who need to sit, yet still want to be vocal.
