As there's no actual football to talk about this week, this question has been going through my mind.
We know since we went down that there would probably be a fair few games called off around this time of year in the Conference. Was wondering, how do you lot look at it? We've had at least 2 or 3 back from injury since we last played and Bouchard is back from the Caribbean as well. So, with that in mind, it's been pretty good to have our own little winter break of 2 weeks off.
But I can't help thinking that this postponement means another mid week game for the tired legs later in the season, and we could end up with a really congested fixture list in March and April. So how do you look at it?

I don't think it's good that we go into Saturday's potentially massive game having not played for a fortnight as we might be fresher but any momentum from the last two wins would've surely gone.
And I agree about fixture congestion because we don't want to enter the most important games of the season with tired or injured players.

It will be three weeks without a game far from ideal for tranny away.
If we've been training hard then we should be fine. Not sure how common practice it is, but maybe a closed-doors friendly against someone might have been arranged during this break. But even if not the new players have been given plenty of time to gel with the team whilst our injured players coming back should be feeling 100%. Only one game in hand we have and no cup games, so our fixture list is nowhere near as blocked up as those around us. Especially Lincoln. We should be fine.
As for the Tranmere game, they haven't properly played since 1st of January. The only game they've had since then was a Trophy match against South Park which they breezed past. So they're not really at an advantage over us in terms of being away from the game for too long.

The only really we have ad since 2nd of Jan was Ferriby away and that was no test. Could work both ways for us. Can't believe Ferriby score fours yesterday got to be shock of the weekend.NBDag wrote:If we've been training hard then we should be fine.
