My mate Smudge, an avid Coventry fan, is convinced that they have now signed Jones on a permanent free transfer. I am insisting that we wouldn't be stupid enough to let him go without a fee having put him on a contract here last year but he is having none of it. Does anyone know anything about it?

He's on loan till the end of the season
No deal for permanent transfer can be finalised till Coventry's season finishes

The deal is done and it will be a fee minimum £250k I reckon. No way is it a free still contracted until 2017.

id pay them to take some of this lot but jones isnt 1 of them, we wont get anywhere near 250k but i expect a massive sell on and addons be included.
even if it was nowt then im pretty certain a tribunal would give us something.

Id take £30 from what I saw him do here.
Go on be honest....what did he do here other than show potential once ?
Good luck to him by the way, nothing personal, just never did anything to impress me at all.

Had a quick look at the Coventry Forum and it seems many of them are extremely happy and excited by him. We would be mad not to try and get £250K for him or at the very least £100k and a load of sell on clauses.
