The whole thing became a bit of a farce second half in all honesty.
Don't know how bad it needs to get for the ref to say that's that .
Whoever decided to kick that way either looked or did not look at the weather forecast because conditions were at there worst second half.
The only anxious moment we had was late on when O Brien was racing of his line and a gust of wind held the ball up allowing a Morecambe player to get in , luckily he scooped it over the bar.
We won , we played well but the biggest factor was that we dealt with freak conditions better then them.
Not changed my mind. One win in 8, achieved in freak conditions and with 2 big deflected goals. Still shambolic defending for their 2 goals. It's better since he dropped Biucaud and Ferdinand, but the fact that it took him so long to see the obvious (again as he did with Saah) tells me that he might be a good coach, but not a good manager.
Highlights showed the by all accounts the second half turned in to a nonsense in terms of actual play... no chance we get that luck at the weekend. Great to see a bit of luck with deflected goals and a penalty but the defensive errors won't contain the attacking threat every game.
We need to get back to at least one battling 0-0 game or 1-0 lucky win rather than hoping we start playing every game only after we are 2 down and go all out thinking we have lost anyway.
I must say on watching the highlights, credit to O'Brien on their first goal... saves three or four point blank shots but isn't supported by a defence who are desperate enough to ensure to the ball stays out of our own goal! He looked rightly crestfallen seeing it go in.
