which for the day after yet another loss is quite something and can mean only one thing;
Burnett's army - which became a platoon - which became a couple of lone soldiers .... now resembles Trotters Independent Traders plc .....

Bonjour from Sunhill,
I think people should realise there is a distinction between those who are Burnett Inners or whatever you want to call them, and those who are not happy, but won't feel the need to protest, become abusive and make out the World is going to end over some football results??
I have always been torn on whether changing the Manager will help or not in all honesty, and feel the problems run deeper than just replacing Wayne. However, having heard/read about last night I think maybe it is now or never on the change front. I wasn't there (not a protest, a combination of work and cricket commitments) but it sounds awful. While I am still unsure if a change of manager will work, the Club can't be seen to do nothing and if something is going to be done it should be now.
We have no game Saturday and a cup game Tuesday. Make the cut now, get Kenny Brown and Anwar to take the team for Tuesday, which may provide a bounce and squeeze us through in the cup. This gives 8 or 9 days to work to find a longer term replacement in time for the next League game. If it takes a bit longer then Kenny and Anwar to continue until such time a suitable replacement is found.
I would go for Steve Tilson and Paul Brush on a contract till the end of the season.

Tilson was working with us behind the scenes quite a bit a little while ago (can't quite recall if that was under Still's tenure or Wayne's).TommyD&R wrote:Was they not Basildon United Ladies u18s or something like that last? A fair and well reasoned post as ever Dashers ...DI Mike Dashwood wrote:Bonjour from Sunhill,

I don't believe anyone has ever become "abusive" over wanting WB removed from his post - although the longer he Blindly carries on refusing to go of his own accord whilst there is not even a sniff of an upturn in results is only going to aid the bad feeling towards him.
But to answer the most important point of all you made … the worst thing is that the club ARE “being seen to do nothing” – and therin actually does lie the real problem.
As much as I want him gone – I actually don’t blame Wayne for 1 split second not handing his notice in. Why should he? He “works hard” as he constantly likes to remind every one but he also has another 150-200k on his contract still to run – I don’t expect him to want to give a penny of that up. There should come a point of course where the act of dignity sets in and for his own should say I tried but it’s not happening. But again, that isn’t realistically going to happen either.
So we remain in limbo I’m afraid
The club AGM tonight and I am hopeful that those full members attending will be making their voices heard loud & clear!
