So as in most of the last 18 years, Upminster Cricket Club will be hosting an Essex CCC XI this Summer. This Year the game will take place on Sunday 16th August, and will be in aid of Ravi Bopara's Benefit Year.
Entrance to the game is by programme, priced at £2.50, and available on the day, and throughout August from businesses in the Upminster Area. The game begins at 1.30pm and as well as the cricket there will be a beer tent, BBQ, tea tent, ice cream van, face painting for the kids and a raffle. Is normally a great day.
A number of Daggers fans, including the legend Steve Thompson, have attended the game in recent years, so would be great to see a few people from the forum in attendance.
Let me know if you need anymore details.

Thank you Michael.
I now have the programmes for the event and these will be on sale from various businesses in Upminster from this Wednesday, or from the Club on Matchdays.
Of course, they will also be available on the day.
Would be great to see some more Daggers fans at this event.
If anyone wants anymore details, then please let me know.
Cheers

Bonjour Folks,
I know it is the start of the football season (ridiculously early though I must add) but should you be free on Sunday week and wanting to chat with some fellow Daggers fans about our win over Orient, then why not head to Upminster Park. In fact I know there will be a few Os fans there you can gloat to as well!!!
I am sure you may also bump into Mike the Dagger, Wally Downes (aka SteveW) and Bill Oddie (aka IanC) and there is even the chance you can chew the fat over a pint and burger with the great Mr Steve Thompson!!!
Upminster CC v Essex CCC, in aid of Ravi Bopara's Benefit Year. £2.50 entrance by programme to watch the cricket, good value beer and BBQ available, face painting and ice cream van for the kids, autograph opportunities throughout the day. What more could you ask for.
Programmes available now from Batemans Newsagents, Alishan Tandoori, Gates, Parish & Co Estate Agents and Govani's Chemist in the Town Centre, and from the Club on matchdays, or available on the date on the day.
Hope to see you all there.
Cheers
