Didn't go tonight, how did we play? How did Kane Ferdinand play as he could be a top signing for us.

Kane Ferdinand looked strong, solid at times and if we can get him certainly a useful acquisition. McClure looked quite lethargic, he produced minimal movement but I believe he has a lot more to show. Richards impressed me again, he got stuck in and made many decent passes.

Thought we were pretty poor In both halves, completely outplayed by both Charlton sides (their first and second XI). How that report can state that "But it was the Daggers who had the best opportunity of the match in 14th minute" when we've just lost 2-0 I don't know?!! Or perhaps they mean that we had the best opportunity of the 14th minute, which is probably true!

Worrying how many times we played ourselves into trouble too with our pointless passing it around the back and trying to take players on in defence/deep midfield - we need to improve considerably IMO before 8th August.

Always hard to tell from a friendly. Didn't think our forwards linked up well, too isolated. We hardly created anything to be fair. Midfield did ok. Defence seemed uncertain at times and were fortunate not to let Charlton in. Unlucky for first goal (OG), but what sort of wall was that for their free kick? Knew we'd lose from the minute I saw Deadman walk out, so not too despondent.

As far as friendlies go we did ok. Partridge did well, but for me Nosworthy was a liability, far too slow and cumbersome. I hope it was mainly due to the fact he was playing against an absolute monster at 6ft7 and he will improve! The stand out for me was Richards, who does the simple things very well and is not afraid to get stuck in. Ferdinand after a slow start, grew in to the game and did quite well. If we could sign these two we could do well this season, here's hoping. Nice to Zavon get some game time once again, obviously still very rusty, but given time he will be like a new signing I'm sure.
