Tbh we'll probably see no signings until after the first few pre-season games are under way and the trialists start getting run outs. and I'm happy enough not to be signing people sight unseen anymore.
It may not have been a case of being outbid.
I remember Hoyte being portrayed in a negative way once he had he contract withdrawn.
I'm not sure I'd be desperate to go back somewhere that did that to me.

What do you guys think we NEED defensively? Currently we have 3 contracted defenders, Partridge, Connors and Widdowson and you would imagine Gayle will sign his new contract.

Will Partridge be given a starting place at CB? (I reckon that will be his position in the long term).

I think we NEED a top class RB & CB, leaving Gayle and Connors as back up and I would like to add another young defender as back up.

I looked at the likes of Hoyte, Legge and Tozer being ideal, but they've been snapped up. Would anyone take Marvin McCoy from York? Bring Magnus back?

Has anyone else got any realistic names in mind?

I know Ben Chorley's available but not sure if he would be a right fit for us.

Get ayo back on loan asap.

If zav fit then that big bonus but we will need at least 1rb 1cb and a ball winner.
Not sure how far our budget can go tho so will probably see 2 signings and 330 loans by Xmas.
but we finished 9th!

Ayo will end up at a league 1 team or a top league 2 team I reckon.

Probably nothing, but, when he signed a new deal with Charlton, his bio on Twitter only said he was a player at Charlton, just looked and it now also says "on loan at @Dag_RedFC". Please.

Shaun Batt signed for Barnet alongside Kevin Lisbie after both left Orient... Interesting to see how he has progressed

At least 5 spaces to fill in the squad if it's to be competitive with very minimal time, less than a month to go now.

Highly doubt we've got the money for 5 players. I expect to sign 1-3 and then loan in anyone else.
Sorry about your damn luck!

Well how did we plan to keep what you would feel were the 4 biggest wage earners in Doe, Abu, Howell and
Bingham if we never had the money to pay them. Thought Wayne was disappointed to see them go. Another season where we get fed the team needs time to gel

We've probably spent a good chunk of our wage budget on Nyron. It's very disappointing at the moment to see the core of the team gone only to be replaced by a 34 year old at the arse end of his career. I'm hoping WB has some players to come in as time is running out. Fed up with seeing flexi cards and special offers on friendly matches, when we've barely got a team to put out on the pitch. It's laughable how they expect people to turn up to support them.

I doubt very much a large chunk has gone on Nyron, he has made his money from the game. We don't chuck money at individuals otherwise you would have seen others stay.

Squad at present:

Goalkeepers
Cousins
O'Brien

Defenders
Connors
Partridge
Nosworthy
Gayle
Widdowson

Midfielders
Raymond
Boucaud
Hemmings
Labadie
Hines
Hemmings
Chambers

Forwards
Cureton
Doidge
Yousuff

Who have I missed?
