Re: Boston
Agree with everything that has been said in previous comments. Very depressing but at least I had a laugh when they announced Rendall was man of the match I just wonder how this was decided. It certainly was not by anybody that watched the game - MOM was easily our goalkeeper.

Re: Junior returns
I was thinking only the other day how little game time Junior has had at Notts County. They had a lot of options for strikers and maybe his style did not fit in. Therefore this loan may have come at the right time for him.

Re: More signings
Nik Tavares also spent nearly a season without playing but came back looking strong. The guy has talent we will have to see whether he can resurrect his career.

Re: The Released Players Thread
Of the Bromley players still not signed I would rather have Topalloj than Reynolds. When we had him on loan he looked to have a lot of potential and we need a left sided defender. However think Bromley will make sure they keep him.

Re: First Signing of the season.
Agree about Rutherford. When I have seen him play he looks more like a wing back than a full back. He will definitely bring a lot of energy to wherever he plays and he is young enough to improve. Rendall also has a lot of potential and would seem to be a replacement for Longe-King in the squad. Long...

Re: North Sixth Group
Having looked at play off highlights Ollie Pearce would be one to look at to bring up from lower leagues. Even if Inih does sign we would still need another striker and Pearce would look like a good partner up front as he looked very mobile.

Re: Retained List
There is no mention of Aaron Blair. I thought he was only on loan to Braintree.
However, having looked at the highlights of Braintree v Chelmsford City I cannot see him cutting it in National League.

Re: Altrincham home
The surprising thing about the performances in the last few matches is the improvement of the midfield and the way it competes now. Josh Rees, while he still has his moments of ineptness, has changed from the player of earlier in the season that seemed not to have any idea of what to do to one that ...

Re: Rochdale..
From the highlights it does seem that we kept them very quiet in the second half. Usually check out the highlights issued by the opposition as it gives a more balanced view, this shows that Rochdale didn't make many chances and also includes the 2 shots by Pereira that produced good saves from their...

Re: NL: Solihull Moors (H) 11 Nov 2023
The result was disappointing but there are signs of improvement, although remain of the opinion that Phipps is a liability as he seems unable to stay in position which led to their first goal. It all could have been different if we had kept the lead at half time. The continued discussion on how bad ...

Myles could also play upfront with Inih but just take up wide positions.

Re: Friendly: Aveley (A)
Lewis Page would seem a good upgrade just based on his time at West Ham. Also understand that Renny Smith was one of the trialists and he was at Arsenal youth set up and played for clubs in Europe that are higher standard than National League. So could be another good addition. Looks like Strevs def...

Re: Where do we go from here?
The way forward would be to gradually improve the facilities. The toilets especially those in the terraces need an update. It is difficult to align success on the pitch to increase in home attendances as in the promotion year in League 2 I did not see much increase apart from the attendance of away ...
