This isn't a fekkin charity - it's a full time, professional football club.

Our wages might not be the highest, but there are thousands of others out there who would have loved to have had the same opportunity.

Batt was miles off being up to any sort of minimal standard required - a truly terrible signing & certainly contributed to the appalling first half of the season.
Made my mind up about him after Morecambe first game and made my views known then , would you believe
One regular poster tried to kid me he looked promising FFS.

When you sign a player I don't think you ever consider will he make an effort. Without fear of contradiction I know we have had players equally as poor Partridge looks his equal at Rb but I never questioned his effort like I did Batt at times he simply looked disinterested. His Darcy Bussell attempt to stop the cross that lead to the Wycombe equaliser at their place cost us two valuable points.

Let's hope we get this right this time for RB because this season other then the handfull of games Abs has played there we have looked a complete mess most of the season

Batt was covered at first because we were all busy slagging off Connors for not being up to scratch. fact is we have 3 conference south grade players in defence at the start of the season, and somehow Doe was the one who ended up benched :|

Once Ayo and Widdowson were on board it was obvious he was the weak link, and those games with the back four of Joe, Doe. Ayo and Abu were probably the best defensive performances we've had all season. now Batt's buggered off and Ayo's loan will end those two positions are think are critical for cover

So please Wayne if you're reading this - DONT SIGN ANOTHER 6 STRIKERS.
Sorry about your damn luck!

Go in to the new season with Partridge, Doe, Gayle, Widdowson, Connors. Sign a top right back and centre back, we'll be fine.

Take Doe out of that side however Matt and that's worryingly sort of quality

Was offered 100-1 against Doe being here next season by somebody at Newport Saturday by all accounts he is
already talking to other Clubs

Out of Abu, Bingham and Doe, the one I thought was most likely to stay was Doe. Kind of accepted we'll lose the first 2, but I will be absolutely gutted if Doe does go. :(

Let them have their moves, they deserve it.

There will be another Doe,Abs and Bingham out there, they aint getting any younger. We're used to having Bingham out injured and although Abs is the best RB in the league he has some way to go to be best midfielder.Probably the hardest trier in the entire league though, thats what I'll miss.Doe is never gonna get a move if he don't go now, good luck to him.

Its evolution...get used to it !

Get used to it? I'm used to it. That's why I'm not calling for the managers head 3 months after a big player turnover. But yeah, anyway, Doe is certainly the one I'm most fearful of losing.

You make some good points Arnu, what I saw of Frankie Raymond Saturday we may have found the next Bingham. Never hid himself away always wanted the ball and offered himself at every opportunity. Rightfully taken off as he tired but as debut go lots of promise.

Heard good things about Raymond but then a superior he haunt even had a sniff until April... It's not even like he has regularly cine of the bench early in the session for twenty minutes here or there...

An warming to Partridge but worried he is too slow for a long term full back option.

No idea if we have Widdowson next season? Not convinced Connors well make a starting place his own.

Hoping for a decent season from Doidge if he can score one more goal in the next two games and get some confidence.

Doe is deg the one I think we will miss most... Can't disagree with the 100/1 comment from Sussex... Won't get another chance for a move I'd anyone from League One is interested. We've now almost had two top half finishes in a row... You don't want to be looking for a team if we are 22nd again next season, surviving on the last day

There is a reason opposition teams consistently fire long, high, diagonal balls towards the left back area whenever he has been in the team.

For all the comments noting our stronger defence since Saah took a breather, I firmly believe this is due to us sorting out the left back position also.

Connors has been given a decent crack at it (something like over 40-odd appearances over two seasons) - rough & tough League Two football just seems a little bit above his level.

Doe is 26
Abu is 25
Billy is 24

You're right, they're in the twilight of their careers.

In my opinion there is very little between Batt and Conners. I would be more then happy to see both gone!

I certainly wouldn't begrudge either Doe or Abu a move.

Their commitment to the club during their time is unquestionable and deserve the chance to play at a higher level.

If Lewington, Tomlin, Wes Morgan et al can all get a League 1 club I'm sure these two can.

Bingham is slightly different for me ... his 1st real lengthy, injury free period and I'd like to see him repay a bit of the loyalty the club showed in sticking by him during his injury laden times. Best is still to come from him too. Another couple of years and he too could easily be playing at League 1 or higher.

As for Connors, way, way out of his depth.
The fact that Wayne bombed him out TWICE speaks volumes.

Perhaps him and Batt should look to join up with the other Daggers reject at Maidstone !!
