Do you know where I can find this piece nomis? I've already seen it myself at the time but I know someone else who didn't and would like to. Can't find it anywhere on BT's site or YouTube/the usual larknomis wrote:For anyone who didn't see BT Sport coverage I recommend the pre match piece on "A Day In The Life Of John Still"
Excellant footage which shows just how good Stilly
Check it out if you haven't already
This seems a heck of a lot of changes to a team which has just gone 3 on the bounce having struggled to get results previously. I personally wouldn't drop Corey at the moment either, so I agree on that part, however, I'd sooner just straight swap Corey out like-for-like at the moment than move the whole lot around.RayleighDagger1986 wrote:The answer to this is simply NO.
Corey is a player who is much better as a no.10. Since playing wide, he's lost that something. He's better in the middle.
Ideally. Drop Lokko.
Put Robson back at centre half.
Move Howell alongside Boucaud or Adams
Move Whitley centre
Play Sparkes wide
Mike, I've only quoted part of your post to not take up a whole page to myself but your thoughts seem to be very similar to how I feel about it.DI Mike Dashwood wrote:If sport was just a case of better players turning up and being able to guarantee they would perform at the same level each week then it would all be pretty pointless. But when they have off periods it does not mean that it is necessarily a lack of effort which causes it.
I alluded to on the Chester (a) thread that Corey's defensive effort yesterday stood out to me yesterday. Without it sounding like a criticism, I don't believe this is something he was doing before to the same extent.
We have very attacking full-backs this season, which however good they are can always leave you vulnerable on the break. So I think adding this to his game does no harm and perhaps like with Hawkins, it's a part of his game which won't always get full appreciation unless he's scoring for fun at the same time. It's hardly a role suited to a player who isn't giving 100%, I have no doubt he's pulling his weight even if there's not a great deal of red letters to show for it.
