So in this match in Iran, this defender pulled a wilko of sorts and have the ball away with the goalie severely out of position. All the striker had to do was place it on net for a goal; when a sub ran onto the pitch and blocked said shot. It was not an auto goal, and the offending team did not go down a player; instead it was a Direct free kick from the top of the 6.
How is it not an auto goal, as it was an obvious goal scoring opportunity
How is this not a red card or auto goal?

In football the ball has to cross the line for a goal to be given. There is nothing that allows a goal to be given otherwise, regardless of whether or not an obvious goalscoring opportunity is denied.
The sub could probably have been sent off, but all that would have meant was that he then couldn't be brought on.

Okay, understandable.
How come it wasn't a penalty then?

No foul was committed so no penalty.
