I found the following on the Luton Outlaws site. I do miss shouting out to Mr Still to leave someone up!!
I wrote to him the subject once, and he responded immediately (so far so good), only to tell me that what was good enough for Arsenal and Liverpool was good enough for Dagenham.
Would not surprise me in least if we see him and Terry back here after Luton give him boot. I loved the bit about him being stubborn, I could have been the author!

Still's tactics for defending corners
I don't know the exact number, but we seem to have conceded quite a few goals from corners this season, like Wycombe's first goal on Tuesday. I think that some of them may be down to Still's peculiar tactics of sending every player back to defend corners. It means that the opposition can put their ten outfield players in our penalty area or just outside, so they often end up picking up the loose ball after our attempted clearances of the corner, like Wycombe did. Everybody knows that if we were to leave one of our players on the halfway line, then that would immediately make the opposition keep at least 2 defenders back to cover it, thus improving our position when defending a corner. I can't remember one opposition team this season using the same strange tactics as Still for defending corners. The trouble is that Still can be quite stubborn and set in his ways, so maybe he thinks that he is right on this matter and every other manager in the division is wrong.

I never had a problem with the bringing back of every player.
Still repeatedly insisted that "most goals were scored/conceded by restarts”
Just think how bad we’ve generally been at defending restart situations since he departed……

Have never liked the ALL BACK for a corner (which Wayne on most occasions adopts). Luton fans are complaining about Stills hoofball, and some already feel he has taken them as far as he's capable of! One thing's for sure, he wont have a "job for life" if current form doesn't improve dramatically.
Has it been that much worse? Or has it been highlighted more? On the face of it, it would seem under WB we've conceded more but I'd be interested to see stats if anyone's bored and can find something?dagger4eva wrote:I never had a problem with the bringing back of every player.

Crikey wouldn't it be ironic if they lose to us in April and he gets sacked afterwards......?
