hard to argue dtd got away with it simply because County to their credit went looking for the second goal. A worldly save ftom Liam straight up the other end and the first time Carrol has anything to do is to pick ball our of net.

The need for a Central Midfilder is clear for everybody to see except the Board who i am imformed have decided to spend money elsewhere.

The best team did not win tonight and we got away with it .

Spend money elsewhere? Not on the manager leaving I imagine?

Possibly another centre back so we can let one leave like we did last time

Absolute pony today yet again for the first half. The central midfield issue MUST be getting picked up on by the bench?

Draw was fair I think. They shaded the first half without doing too much and we were on top in the 2nd.

Clevid was top notch, and Connors did well too.

That was a dreadful appalling display. I actually think the comments above are kind because it was not just dreadful for the first 60 minutes, it was dreadful for the entire match. Let's not let two wonderful shots by Jones and Chambers obscure that we created f all. Well done to O'Brien who made an excellent penalty save and was much more positive on coming out for crosses with strong punches.

Wayne did one good thing all night and that was bringing on Chambers for Doidge to go back to 4-2-3-1 which has to be the way forward. I like Doidge but at the moment he shouldn't be playing because he's of no benefit to the personal around him. The midfield two can't get forward to support his knock downs, he is no Benno when holding the ball up and we're not putting crosses him to make him a genuine threat in the box. We need to go back to what we did well last season and that is to let Boucaud sit, Ferdinand to be the engine around him and a player like Chambers to link the midfield and attack together. Chambers actually did well when he came on and we should persevere with him or Hines there. Let's have 2 of Jones/Hemmings/Hines either side of Cureton or McClure. The 4-4-2 is horribly rigid for us as we don't have enough drive or fluidity to actually create anything with the personel. The first half was beyond dire. No shots, no dangerous crosses, no build up play. There was actually nothing.

We got very lucky tonight. County were extremely average but deserved the win

So ive just listened to Burnett's interview & then just read Lee's scatching critisism & it sounds like both people were watching completely different games. Not sure who to believe now :D

Apparantly the fans were good and Notts County had two players that played in the Premier League.
Funny that coz so have we ... Nyron Notsoworthy & Zavon.
Not to mention Cureton playing top level football for Donkeys years.

Dress it up how you like but 1 win in 10 is a sackable record for almost any manager in the country.

For me, Saturday is a MUST WIN game!!

Tonights attendance is 1,327 with 203 away fans

Wouldn't surprise me if we drop below 1000 if we carry on like this.
This is costing us dearly.

Believe me. I've not listened to Wayne's interview but if he thinks that performance was acceptable then he's lost his bloody marbles. The only positive from a 'team' perspective was we showed a little more fight in the 2nd half but we could hardly show any less than we'd done previously in the first half.

Let's have a front 4 of Jones, Chambers, Hemmings, Cureton for Saturday please.

I thought the first half was absolute cack. Better second half, but how many more matches will it take for WB to decide on his best team. The man's a joke.

Here ya go....

Love the bit that only 2 games ever have the players not given him everything. Stevenage at home and Barnet on Saturday.
Obviously forgotton about that "pathetic" 2-0 home WIN.

LOL

it i told you a season ticket holder who stands in our group is away on holiday and could not find a taker for his season ticket for these two home games as a freebie it would not surprise many. Like you Auntie Merge i think that and tonights gate is alarming.

Had a full and frank discussion with Steve Thompson tonight about events that occured last Ssturdayand i admire him for facing the music.

Now if we had a boss like him i think we would all gratefull ,because he supported his Staff to the full even tho the account he was given by a members of his Staff about events that occured after the final whistle Saturday were not what i heard.

As much as i admire him for that we can not hide away from the fact that People are voting with their feet and at this rate we will have tge smallest budget i the league rather tgen the third smallest.

History tells us that Chambers plays well for about half hour every month. The fact we still persevere with him shows the paucity of talent we have available. He had a great effort against the bar tonight and linked the play well a couple of times but he also did plenty of his usual giving the ball away and falling over.

Tbf he probably does deserve a start more due to the poor form of others but we'll just end up disappointed.

I'd play Hines behind Cureton and have Hemmings and Jones wide.

See you cursed Wenger tonight then D4E .

Proves that you can have all the money in the world but if you cant defend then you do not win football matches.

Talking of which how easy was their goal tonight , walked past our defence . No doubt we will work hard on it .

Ayo just watched the runner for their goal and made little effort to get back. Not good enough.
