We did well today considering we were playing against 12 men, the ref murdered us. Christ we've had some luck, a goal disallowed, McClure sent of for virtually nothing, and don't get me started with that poxy ref! Six minutes added on!! For what, did someone die out there today!!!

Wayne has been adamant we will be alright. I had a moments doubt after Tuesday, but thought the team put up a great show today.
Liam done well, Ayo was immense, Christian had his best game in my opinion, worked his butt off. But everyone contributed.
The ref or more the ass ref killed us again.
I'm not blind that we hang on, Wycombe had good chances, and we dropped too deep at times, but considering the start to the season that was a great effort

Well if we don't take heart from the first 94 we should give up.
Boys there have been questions asked on here and I also notice from the Assistant Manager about spirit, well you answered every call this afternoon and put pride back into the name Dagenham and Redbridge.
Everyone one of you should be mighty proud this evening I know I am.
Ok I have been hardly a fan of the Goalkeeper but he did very very well in my opinion and his kicking when we down to ten men was very good putting it right deep into Wycombe territory meaning that we could at least set ourselves ready for the next Wycombe attack. It might have been a very useful weapon of we had 11 men on the pitch because the Wycombe back line was very shaky on more then one occasions.
Welcome back Ayo you were superb in my book and Nyron also did very well despite the odd nervous moment. The whole back four and Goalkeeper should take a bow and did not deserve what happened, but that's our luck at moment.
Drove home yes disappointed we did not quite see it out but very proud all the same

We were superb today. The first half we played some nice stuff, especially early on. The goal came from an excellent O'Brien kick, Doidge flicked on to put McClure through 1v1 and he took his chance clinically. Jones really worried their full back and Hemmings on the other side did alright but is not quite back up to last season's standard yet.
2nd half we dropped very deep but I felt strangely comfortable as they had little to hurt us with. Ayo and Nosworthy were more than capable aerially against their threat and Ayo in particular headed umpteen balls away. I have to give Ferdinand credit today as he worked his bollocks off in the middle as well. Christian Doidge put in one of the best shifts I have seen from a player for quite a while. Quite how he kept up that intensity in the heat was beyond me but he was still sprinting and chucking himself into 50/50 aerial balls cleanly in the 90th minute. He's going to be a fans favourite here.
2 things. I'm convinced our 2nd should have stood and there is no way McClure should have got a 2nd yellow. He slid in at the side of Jombati who then clutched his leg like he had been shot. McClure should have known better but he barely touched him.
The spirit is back. Well done boys.

Perhaps we should not look at it through rose tainted Specs . Jodi had the trainer on twice and then went off I allowed 3 for that alone add 30 seconds for each sub and another minute for the bookings etc and we have hardly been done.stanton101 wrote:We did well today considering we were playing against 12 men, the ref murdered us. When that guy on the loudspeaker said 6 minutes extra time remaining, didn't we just all know that they would pull off a draw and sneak it! Absolutely gutted because we deserved those other two vital points, yes they really were putting pressure on O'Brien's goal throughout but my God didn't our defence and even rest of our field shoulder in well and rally great support. Just hope it gives us an anchor of confidence now to deservedly climb up. Ayo was superb especially heading out so many times late on and even though he got sent off (very harsh, Wycombe centre/back should go on You've been framed!) I loved the McClure/Doidge partnership. Ref tarnished what could have been a great day for the daggers, so many decisions to name.

Much better all round today, even if we didn't get the win we 100% deserved. Couldn't have a more honest hard working pair up front than McClure and Doidge, the former very unlucky to get sent off in my opinion. Everyone pitched in today, and barring one defensive lapse at the end we take home the points. Annoyingly it's Nyron as well. So close to those first three points, but a significant improvement from last week nonetheless.

I believe if you look at his kicking and general distribution the answer is there. it was obvious teams were targetting this and putting him under pressure, also the first four games goals were conceeded from balls crossed into the 6 yard box an area where traditionaly a keeper should make every ball his and this was nt happening. Mark is a good pro and im sure he will fight hard to regain his form.ARNU wrote:Why was Cousins dropped ?
But it was ok for Lewington to nause it up every time he ever got the ball, and Robbo for that matter.Bit harsh I think,as Cousins can clearly save the bloody thing.Alsio the only player in the team with any sort of rapport with the crowd these days.Im watching ....
Bollix to Shampoo, it's real poo we want !
Agreed. Whilst there were many gripes to be had with the standard of officiating yesterday, as soon as McClure attempted that second tackle it was obvious that he'd be in trouble - it was a mindless thing to do when you've already been booked, are under the cosh and the opposition have the ball nowhere near our goal. Also I would have been amazed if it was less than 6 mins added time, jodi was down twice for a few minutes each time, there were substitutions and the time delay with the sending off.
Was a gut wrenching result, but many positives to take for the first time this season.

We didn't really have a suitable back up to Lewy though, Seabright never convinced me. I didn't go yesterday but doesn't sound like o'Brien had a stinker.ARNU wrote:But it was ok for Lewington to nause it up every time he ever got the ball, and Robbo for that matter.Bit harsh I think,as Cousins can clearly save the bloody thing.Alsio the only player in the team with any sort of rapport with the crowd these days.Im watching ....
Im not against O'Brien making an appearance or even a claim to be the 1st choice, however I think its quite clear Cousins has been pretty good so it just seems a bit harsh. The keeper makes a handful of dodgy passes while outfield players do it all the time.Ferdinand springs to mind yet again.
