Who would be the right man in charge next season?

I quite like the sound of scopes, he seems an honest hard working bloke.
According to the club website we're working tirelessly once again to get the right man for the job.
No doubt we'll have over a million applicants and should appoint someone in time for kick off sometime in August.
I look forward to seeing Lewis Young reappointed with a 7 year contract after we've sold everything that isn't nailed down.
Honestly the clubs a shambles.

I've just read the website
https://daggers.co.uk/update-on-manager ... ic-review/
What a load of word salad!!!
They really need to understand they are running a community based football club and are not running Accenture.
Clear concise vocabulary is key. So something like:
We're interviewing for a new manager this week, checking they meet with the Daggers philosophy, as well as have the skills for the job.
We appreciate it is a big ask, asking you to renew your season ticket before a new manager is in place, but please trust us - we've learnt from our mistakes - and will ensure an appointment which will please all the fans and the ambition of the club to get straight back into the National League.
We'll update you as soon as we can.

It’s a positive in a way they are taking their time there were rumours that interviews have already been conducted on social media. They have to get this appointment right and before the start of June. Sadly I just don’t trust them.

They took the same amount of time and gave Young the job.

Always remember there was a 1000 applicants and Lewis Young was the best candidate.Diggerthedog wrote: ↑Tue May 20, 2025 5:19 pm They took the same amount of time and gave Young the job.

Whilst I won’t be renewing my season ticket I’ll be attending the odd game, are we not allowed to comment if we don’t attend matches?
I’m concerned that the appointment of a manager could mean the difference to this club actually surviving the current ownership, who in a year have pretty much run the club into the ground, something I would hate to see happen is the club being liquidated. A new manager who is decent might be able to turn the ship around but a bad one could see it sink much faster.
But everything is fine let’s just clap and pretend nothings happening to our once great club.

Maybe if more people moaned and kicked off last season we wouldn’t be in this predicament.
Sadly a large proportion of our supporters are complete melts and the club can do no wrong in their eyes.
So people aren't allowed to be a fan of, or care about, the club if they don't have a season ticket?
I am shocked you have the balls to comment on here again after your last few posts.
“No way we’ll be relegated.
Morias best days now long gone.” right before he spanked two past us and of course we were then relegated.
“I’m hoping Louis Young stays involved in
some capacity, I’d even be happy with
him as the new manager.
He’s an intelligent guy and for me could be a big loss.” Becomes our worst ever manager and relegates us.
Any more pearls of wisdom you want to share? Bring back the Egyptians, perhaps? Mug.
From reading the comments I have this feeling of deja vu.
While we did not have the electronic forum then I can still remember the comments made when we got relegated in 1996 and how the club could disappear if we did not get things right.
I also remember that there was no great enthusiasm when we merged with Redbridge Forest. So I wonder what once great club is being referred to in these messages.
I have found from experience that whatever you may say unless you have the money to put into the club to back your ideas you have to wait and see how things work out and hope the club survives and you still have a team to watch .
I have too many connections to the club to even contemplate supporting any other team so, as with previous seasons, I will wait and see how things pan out.

In case they don't know, here's a few for them to mull over.
Sacking Strevs in front of his family
Treating Justham like he's a vagrant
Employing an absolute gob shite for a manager
Oh nearly forgot, letting Junior go, the one bloke that may have kept us up.
Honestly if they can't see it now, then they deserve this mob.
