I've read all the posts and to be honest, if someone had offered me a point before the game, I would have taken it, as I was expecting far, far, worse.

But I knew as soon as we went ahead we would concede. We always do.

You're so gloom and doom why do you bother saying you support the club? All you do is run everything in the club down. Yesterday the 100 or so of us got
Behind the club and they responded by doing all they could. We Needn't have bothered as you knew we'd conceded!

I actually agree a little with Keeper Coach. Cousins hasn't met his standards from last year yet. In particular, i think the commanding of the box criticism is spot on although playing with a new defence adds an element of uncertainty. Coming for a cross is a split second decision and last year he was on auto pilot for a large amount and reacting off instinct. So far this year he's just looked a touch indecisive at times.

His kicking doesn't particularly bother me as I think he has other attributes that far outweight the importance of this. However, if you are going to give Liam a go, this is one element he has in his favour and he proved this on Saturday with some fantastic kicking which put Wycombe under the cosh. I also think that although I personally would have given Cousins more time to make adjustments, it's healthy to have competition and this is a good time to put Liam in to see if he can hack it. He's passed his first test although I don't think this was the most difficult of games for him actually. He wasn't peppered with shots and Wycombe put the ball continuously into an area where Ayo could head away. He did the routine saves well though and came for 1 ball in particular at the end in Robbo-esque superman play off final style but actually caught instead of punched which was impressive. As a negative though, I don't think he is particularly commanding off set plays in terms of organisation. He didn't set his wall for 1 or 2 free kicks up particularly well and there were 1-2 men left unmarked on corners which he didn't spot and bellow to a defender.

We'll see how he goes. Good luck to him though.

Not if you had seen Ayo yesterday you would be confident we would see it out. Would also heap praise on Nyron , sadly looking at the replay the goal scorer appears to have got the run on him giving the Goalkeeper no hope.

The sending off hurt us ,from that moment onwards we had no out ball until then I think we would have fancied nicking a second . The kicks from the goalkeeper were immense and you felt a second goal like the first was always on the cards, tell you what you would not be adverse to having a pound on him scoring on a blustery day at home, on at least two occasions he got it into Wycombe penalty area.

Add in the fact the Wycombe goalkeeper did not look very mobile he was very heavily strapped, something I think we trargeted.

Looking at the sending off it is a pity the player he tackles falls over in the first instance as I think he was away and the challenge would never have been made.

Despite the disappointment I think all those who made the trip soon settled down and with Ayo never had the butterflies every time the ball went into our box, that confidence spread through the team.

So four games in and we have yet to win but yesterday was a massive improvement. We need to take heart ,we have played 4 teams who have hit the ground running out the 16 games they have contested they have only lost one between them winning 11 of them .

Next Saturday our season really starts , if your first priority is safety then with all due respect Stevenage at home is a game you should be winning.

Can't argue with any of that, listening to some of the Wycombe fans on the way back to the car yesterday, they were full of praise for our boys, and rightly so. Glad to see Ayo back, the whole team looked a lot more solid with him around.

LOL I'll feed the troll.

I'm the only one who predicts we'll win 6-0 every game. That is how doom and gloom I am.
Now go back under your bridge Mr Troll and wait for another billy goat to cross.
