Club statement
Relegation is a hard and sobering outcome. It is not where the club should be, and it’s not good enough.
Let’s not dress it up; the season has fallen well short of expectations on and off the pitch. As a board and ownership group, we take responsibility for that and would sincerely apologise to our many loyal and respected supporters.
There is no doubt the club needs change and that may not be comfortable in the short term. We have learnt difficult lessons and are more determined than ever to restore the community family club image, whilst re-laying the foundation for long-term success.
Be assured, we are and will be engaging with those who have been part of our club for generations, and we are listening.
Please give us the chance to get things right, unite the community and enjoy success in the future! We value your continued support.
Let’s rebuild together.
COYD,
The Board of Directors

Waffle, actions speak louder than words and I see no action just waffle salad. They really don’t get it.
Exactly this, it is a complete load of meaningless waffle which inspires zero confidence. The sentence that stands out to me is:Diggerthedog wrote: ↑Tue May 06, 2025 1:14 pm Waffle, actions speak louder than words and I see no action just waffle salad. They really don’t get it.

Not comfortable for who? Think we all know that means not comfortable for the fans because the board won't do anything that would make them feel uncomfortable. Expect Thompson et al to still be here next season (no doubt still lording it up) and wouldn't be surprised to see Young still in charge. It's an absolute shambles.
At least the club have offered a quick response to the situation. Short in detail as to what will happen but that is not surprising as we were relegated Less than 24 hours ago. Glad that Dan Hall was there to see the match, I wonder what he will report back to the board.
It was disappointing to hear the reaction to the children’s teams that paraded round the ground from the crowd behind the goal. So much abuse it made you sad to be a Daggers supporter although the seated contingent gave them warm applause. Ah well we wait to see what happens now!

So now they want to listen!
There was rifts from the terraces months ago and they sat back and did nothing. All they were concerned about was getting a YouTuber on board and look how that ended up!!
As a board you first look at the results, then you listen to the fans, the people that go week in week out, they're the people that know and will give you the answers you want, not a yes man manager drip feeding you constant shite because he's incompetent and completely out of his depth!
If you want a family club then listen, be prepared to have your arse handed to you, take it on board but FFS listen.
We've got a long road ahead of us but if fans see that your doing your best they'll support you it's their club, if you f..ked off tomorrow they'll still be there regardless.
Changes are very much needed and that includes those at the top if this club is to succeed in future, if not then expect more of the same.

Talking of a yes man, fans of the club still can't respond directly to the team on social media for fear of any and every update (regardless of context) being hijacked by 1000+ Egypt-based accounts. Quite how much of a laughing stock that has made the club, even outside of local and in to national media, is still massively underplayed by the ownership.stanton101 wrote: ↑Tue May 06, 2025 1:58 pm So now they want to listen!

The statement frankly is a total insult to our loyal bunch of supporters. Never has the club and the fans been so distant from each other. Messrs. Andrews and Hardy must be sitting up in the heavens seething at what their successors have done to destroy the legacy that they set in place.
Since those dreamlike days of League 1 football, where of course we were punching above our weight, we've had to endure three relegations, numerous seasons of struggle, countless inept managers and dozens of players unfit to wear the shirt. We've been offered up for sale to the most dubious of individuals and people that should never be allowed anywhere near a boardroom. This season's circus has topped the lot and we get get this pathetic statement as a kind of peace offering.
Next season in a new league must mean a totally fresh start. Even if it takes a few year's to get promotion, foundations for the sustainability of the club need to be put in place. The owners must not only listen to the fans, they need to act too or pass the club on to someone who knows wtf they are doing.

Exactly what I'm sitting here thinking. Why is he not gone yet ? He relegated our club and still sits in the hot seat. He has every single fan gunning for him its going to be a dangerous place for him if he stays in charge of this team. It's typical of Dagenham though to let him stay in charge

He’s gone apparently, just needs to be announced.

... and still no apology from Danny boy or Mohammed bin Thommo to the faithful supporters who were verbally abused, and threatened, due to their incompetence..
If anything, the London based MD must be booted.. it was on his watch, and he did nothing!

Less than 3 months to the new season and 6 weeks until preseason starts, no manager in place, no season tickets on sale, no squad release details, going well as per usual.
Happy to be corrected, but I've always thought of us for at least the last ten years as being one of the slower teams to announce contracts and releases... I would have thought things would be mostly clear on releases this year following the relegation. We HAVE to have had a plan drawn up on who would immediately be let go if we went down, due to the finances if not the football decision making.Diggerthedog wrote: ↑Wed May 14, 2025 7:32 am Less than 3 months to the new season and 6 weeks until preseason starts, no manager in place, no season tickets on sale, no squad release details, going well as per usual.
Logically, every loanee leaves although I would like to see Francis stay on and Loupalo-Bi the same.
Only only what I've read online about contracts, Hector goes (if he was ever really here and not a mirage in the desert) Eastman, Hessenthaler, Ling, Hill, Rees all leave us. Phipps would absolutely be the kind of player I would love to see us keep just a 'Dagenham' type of player to get the crowd on board next year, but no idea if he would stay.
Not sure what we do on the goalkeeper front but I would like to see Jones come back if he can stay fit... Again, no idea what he would be planning after a short-term contract earlier this year. If we could somehow keep hold of Turner that would be immense.
I personally wouldn't keep Remy but he is the most obvious choice for me as someone we may be able to negotiate something with for the NLS as I can't see any of the above wanting to play in th eleague below or would make financial sense to keep.
Of those I believe we have under contract next season, do Kalambayi, Umerah, Rendall or N'Guessan stay with us next year? Would love us to keep PK at the back but no idea (after the last match of the season) what sort of Umerah we would get playing for us... I would like to see Khaleel get a chance next year, alongside the likes of Adigun and Vigrass and would love us to develop Oscar further.
