It's happened.
After a sustained period tumbling towards, to teetering precariously over, the drop zone, we've finally dropped in for the first time.
With just 5 games left to avert a potentially ruinous fate... just how have things come to this?

How has it come to this?

Perfectly put. The blame ultimately lays with Hall, he appointed King, he appointed Young, he allowed all of their pathetic dealings to result in where we are now. The bloke is an idiot. And make no mistake, on Monday when he meets the members, and Wednesday at the forum, he will look to point the finger at others. He will say nobody is perfect, he will say the club has been a mess for years long before he joined, but don’t fall for it even if that is true. The bloke is a liar trying to save his face.
Nobody is perfect, that’s correct. But what has he done that is actually right? No contract extensions given out this year, he lied about Justham, gaslit fans, and continuously backed the wrong people. It’s not a case of him making occasional mistakes, it’s a case of him not even occasionally getting things right.
As for when he tells you all that the club has been a mess for years — then why has he changed nothing? The MD overseeing what he perceives as a mess: still the same. The clubs marketing operations: still the same. The match day experience: still the same. Attendances: still the same. On field results: he tried to change but made it even more of a mess.
Not to even mention this Egyptian circus bollocks. Everything he does makes us more of a mess, more of a laughing stock, and has dragged us to relegation. Do not buy his bullsh*t next week. Do not shake his hand and kiss the ring. Show you care about this club by demanding that these people do better for us.

Well put, come Wednesday we will see if we can put questions to him/them although I can see just a selected few being allowed, overall I hope it’s a verbal bloodbath and I can see it ending up in total chaos.NBDag wrote: ↑Sat Apr 12, 2025 11:06 am Perfectly put. As for the Egyptian bollocks, I’m hoping it’s just that… bollocks! But why were they allowed the access to the ground in the way they walked around pitchside and standing behind the goal where stewards normally move people on, and at the boardroom door! Unfortunately I think there’s more to this

Side to side football, can't defend a lead, nobody wants to have a shot, sub standard players, poor management, clueless owners.
Let's not mess about it's been wank for a good few seasons, Strevs didn't really have a clue either, he chose Lewis Young didn't he. I doubt Strevs would have seen us relegated but it weren't pretty was it.
How many of these players will we have to endure next season?
With the exception of the keeper, lingy Rees, Oscar Rutherford and Dion ( who will all find places elsewhere, the rest can pretty much sod off.
Awful innit.

Bollix to Shampoo, it's real poo we want !
I'd keep Phipps, Rees, Easty if he truly recovers from his hamstring issues, and Dion. In reality of course none of them other than maybe Phipps will want to stay. I'd try to cash in on Oscar if possible but I don't think he's been brilliant himself outside of a two month window. Would be good to see Adigun and Vigrass get involved but we'll probably flog them too.
The rest can all go. And that includes the management team, and the board.

Sad, our once great club ruined by owners who are nowhere to be seen apart from a cup run and a manager who would struggle with tactics for my sons under 11’s side. My son, why are we always rubbish dad, I never remember them being any good. I’ll save him the pain next season, Billericay will have some new supporters.

This is the sad reality. If you are a youngster you remember nothing of any quality I experienced Wembley as a youngster even the playoff semi first season back in non league. For basically a decade season after season has been regression being poor at home.Diggerthedog wrote: ↑Sat Apr 12, 2025 7:33 pm Sad, our once great club ruined by owners who are nowhere to be seen apart from a cup run and a manager who would struggle with tactics for my sons under 11’s side. This has to be one of the lowest points in the clubs history, even lower then Wayne Burnett.
Perhaps this is the jump start we need , we always knew this season was going to be tough, with the change in the board from Trinity Sport to Club Underdog and the massive turnover in staff , both on and off the field how can we expect to have proper consistency?
Lewis Young was handed a very tough challenge, perhaps he knew that, or perhaps he was naïve to monumental challenge that this league is. Either way, and with the best of respect, to give him a two and a half year deal (or perhaps any deal) was the wrong decision.
The club has been mismanaged from the top down, poor decision making and the mistreatment of key members of staff has led this club to the point of relegation to National League South.
I'm sure we've all been keeping an eye on our players that have been loaned out and the likes of Jason Adigun looks promising for next season, let's just hope we can keep him for a least a season before he's sold off to Peterborough.

The “point of relegation” what planet are you on? It’s a stonewall certainty! The club has been mismanaged to the point of oblivion, Young should never have been appointed head coach he should have gone with Strevens, even in early January we had the chance to at least keep national league status but the boat sailed the moment that Young was appointed above all of the qualified applicants. 16 points from a possible 57 (I stand to be corrected on these figures) is a seriously bad return from a club looking for a place in the playoffs, any other club would have shown Young the door and appointed a Sunday morning league team boss who would have done a better job… so bloody angry right now.
Roll on Wednesday
Not sure how many have seen this interview, lasts about an hour but sheds light on just how much of a C#nt James King is
