Looks like he is going to be announced as an investor in the club on Monday. His film crew will be there again at the meeting to record it all, post it on YouTube, and make a bigger circus out of the club. What an absolute shambles. The club does not need more overseas investors with no connection to the club who just want to use us for their own narcissistic needs.
This really does feel like the death of this club.

Is this all conjecture, or has there been anything confirmed? (I appreciate there's a meeting tonight (14/4) and a fan's forum on Wednesday.
If it is to be confirmed, are we able to give him the benefit of the doubt ? As for some time a lot of people have been calling for the dismissal of ST... Well perhaps this is it.
And maybe, just maybe, this is the kick the club needs, as let's face it, we're need of something new.

But what can he put on the table apart from his money? He appears to be an actor and producer of low grade tv programs so what football knowledge does he have? Looking around the interweb and speaking to friends who follow Orient it seems that after hawking himself around other clubs in London with no positive outcome he’s ending up here, I’m wondering if he realises he’s investing in a national league south club.

Has he even got money? In my experience, people who have '5 million followers across all platforms' tend to have sod all money to fritter away on a football club.BB-Dagger wrote: ↑Mon Apr 14, 2025 8:13 am But what can he put on the table apart from his money? The Egyptian himself and his followers are already saying he has bought in to the club. Hall above basically says any investors are joining the club and not replacing. If there was no truth he would have given an easy and clear no, wouldn’t he? The event tonight with Members is called an evening with Dan Hall + a special surprise, which features a picture of a scarf that we always use for new signings. Transfer window has shut so we know it’s not a player, it’ll be the “celebrities” (emphasis on plural here) that are coming in.
As for giving him the benefit of the doubt — I’d have sympathy with that point usually. But this person is being advocated by the man who appointed James King and didn’t apologise for his actions, in fact he has tried to lie about them instead. He appointed Young and refused to sack him when he is clearly not good enough. He has a track record of hiring the wrong people, he’s a terrible judge of character and anyone he trusts should be seen as a fellow clown to add to his circus of shit. So no, I don’t think this bloke gets the BoD under these circumstances. Even before looking at how he’s taken it upon himself to tell his fans in Egypt that he’s involved in the club before saying anything to anyone who is actually from Dagenham. Im sure he’ll be one of us in no time.

Their Campobasso entity has Celebrity investors involved, I guess this Egyptian and some others I heard are also coming in are our ‘celebrity’ investors to help raise our profile, going to need that next season when we’re playing Chippenham in front of 500.

Turns out the lady in charge of Director of Development & Engagement agrees with everything Hamas does. The club is about to explode, I can see this being the end of us unless they all walk away, I’d rather see us play in the Essex senior league than this nonsense.

Has it been confirmed just what his role is? How much control does he have?
