Not even a month from its peak, leading us to the FA Cup Third Round on an unforgettable day in the club's recent history, the Ben Strevens era has come to a sad end amid conflict, dissent and disunity.

Are you saying that these players were signed without any consultation or discussion about the suitability of them without the manages involvement or input. If you know that for certain what evidence do you have?
It’s staggering these days where clubs employ a director of football to oversee signings and transfers in and out of clubs, but this happens all the time from lower leagues to the Premier League it’s a well known fact reported in the media. Gone are the days when solely the manager would decide who he wanted and got the secretary to pursue the required outcome, so it’s not the managers fault when a player doesn’t live up to what’s expected of him. I couldn’t imagine the likes of Brian Clough accepting that back in the day!
You could probably take the fact that we have just signed a player on an 18 month deal without even having a manager as pretty concrete evidence to be fair…
