Ebbsfleet have released a few players and the likes of Dave Winfield, Sam Magri, Dean Rance and Jack King would surely be worth a look at. Also it might be a risk but what about Dave Tarpey who's been let go from Barnet? 30 years old so decent amount of experience and was growing in fitness at the end of last campaign following a really nasty layoff of about a year. Got over 40 goals at NLS South level and was tearing it up in this division too before he got his Football League move, 7 goals in 6 games for a Maidenhead side who were mid-table quality at best.

Hopefully some good news today, club have announced that there's an exciting announcement coming at midday.

Doug Loft has been released by Shrewsbury today.
Not sure if this is the right thread, though. Sorry Doug :eh:

Maybe if his wage demands aren’t too bad, we could do worse/may have a better season when it comes around

Similar sort of player. James (Jimmy) Dunne released by Swindon. Thought he did alright here on loan a few years back?

No No No, even in his better performances he was crap! There’s a good chance that he knew he was going to be released so was most probably playing for a contract with us, and he still played shit. NO

Definitely would not want Loft back. We can get better. Dunne was good for us when he was here, but it looks like he barely played last season which is a red flag for me. Don’t want to risk signing injury prone players.

Rhys Murphy has left Chelmsford. 26 odd goals for them last year, second highest league goalscorer. This isn't just because the limit of my scouting is ex-daggers but he was a good player before and seems to be getting back to the form that persuaded Oldham to buy him from us.

Conference South quality is very poor, only have to look at the teams that come up and struggle each year. If we were to get players from this level I would only be looking at much younger ones.

Jermaine Hylton, who was by far the best player on the pitch against us a fortnight ago and an integral part of their unlikely promotion charge, has not had his contract renewed. Rapid pace, great skill and a keen eye for goal - surely this is something we HAVE to look into.

Jermaine Hylton is a born and bred Brummie lad, would we make it worth his while enough though for him to up sticks for the bright lights of east London?
