That'll be a good move for him. Bit fed up on congratulating all of our players on good moves though.Keeper Coach wrote:Training at OrientTommyD&R wrote:Really disappointed he's gone. I expected him to stay more than the other lot who's contracts were up. Anyway, good luck at Luton Howlley!
I'm not sure that linking departures to the manager is any more or less logical than linking it to budget.NickMurphy wrote:You're not allowed to think logically. Of course, the likelihood is that it's a combination of things - wanting a different challenge, getting more money, playing at a higher level, and others which could feasibly include not wanting to play for Burnett.
It is also possible that the smaller budget is in some part linked to home performances which haven't improved under Burnett.
But we don't want logical thinking, we'll just dismiss any criticism of Burnett.
Don't fully understand the 'sell them rather than Lee them go for free idea' unless we are certain each year we will be safe... A team from January onwards last season with all four of our now ex players gone may have made decent financial sense but would have Jul led us on the pitch... We may be starting this season with Batt as our first choice right back

Played with him at the golf day he seemed set on staying and said he was happy here must be lack of money as usual if we cant keep people who want to stay what are we going to get with the low wages we obviously pay.

He lost the dressing room.. full stop.redboy wrote:So WB signs a contract extension and most of our most consistent and experienced players leave...............Co-incidence, I think not
The reason why we picked up after Christmas was due to the players doing what comes naturally.... and not listening to contadictions being shouted on to the pitch from the dugout
As for Luke Howell, Im not surprised that he has decided to go, Especially as he was the scapegoat for the Southport defeat

Luke has signed for Borehamwood apparently. What the hell is happening?
