Re: Southend United (H) bleatings here

Mixing dreadful & fantastic performances in less than 4 days of each other kind of leads to the uncertainty as to which version of the Daggers will turn up against Southend. I'm approaching the match more with curiosity, rather than any particular sense of anticipation. Here's hoping tho...

Re: Chesterfield (A) grousing here please

Well chuffed with that - did not see it happening in a month of Sundays!

Sounded a fantastic performance from pretty much the whole team - massive well done to all involved :thumbu:

C'mon you Daggers..!!

What a start..!! Goals from Junior + Paul Mc..

Could it be they're responding to a kick up the a#se?

If we bang in 3 or 4 more, I reckon we've got it in the bag..

C'mon you Daggers!

Re: Barnet (H) consternations here please

The defending (or complete lack of) was staggering - even considering the nonsense 'system' that DM keeps trotting out. That said, I thought the 5 goals we scored were pretty damn fine - Vilhete's was a peach & Walker's 3rd for the winner was a cracking finish..especially considering the angle +...

Re: Post Altrincham (H) gripes here

A lot of huff & puff between two sides low on confidence. There were moments of quality (our 2nd & 4th goals were top notch) & we had spells where we played some decent stuff. That said, one swallow doesn't make a summer & all that - we gave up a fair amount of chances throughout the...

Would agree with that - especially as we've already got one a player of that ilk in Paul McCallum

Re: Please post protestations about Bromley (H) here

To put it bluntly, I couldn't care less what cliche-ridden drivel is dished up before the match. I also couldn't care less if the manager jumps up & down all game, or sits in his chair writing notes. What I do care about is whether our well-paid, full-time coach has worked hard enough on getting...

Re: Coach travel to York City FC and Wrexham FC

Travelling on the Saturday of a Bank Holiday weekend, directly towards the holiday-hotspot of the South West, in the latter part of the school holidays wouldn't be too appealing at the best of times I reckon. Chuck in the fact that we continue to be pretty rubbish, then it's not really a surprise no...

I cannot see a clear reason as to why he doesn't put the three big lads at the back - and choose a couple from Hare, Johnson, Ling, Weston, Vilhete for the wingbacks.

Injury update..

Pretty detailed injury update: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7S5xXF-0uLw

Angelo sounds like he'll be out for ages - I'll be surprised if we see him that much at all.

Harry Phipps sounds like he continues to be extremely injury prone.

The others sound reasonably encouraging.

Re: New Signing Pending

I'll probably wait until I've seen the lad actually play, before making my mind up

He's 6'2 , 23 years old, looks the right size for a centre-half & says he likes one-to-one defending - hope he makes a good impact.
