Would certainly take a draw from this one!
Hope they're not all cream-crackered for the Wimbledon game...

Re: worse than last year
Personally, I'm not really interested in all these stats, win percentages, ratios, gearing, averages, points per game, etc. I simply go over to see the match itself, rather than delving into Optima Stats..there's people who are paid to look at that stuff. So far, I've enjoyed watching the games more...

Re: World Cup
That's the way I'm looking at it..at least the humidity will be the same for both teams.matt_drfc wrote:At least it's against another European team!
It's a pretty tough draw, but hopefully we'll at least give them a game out there.
Kick off time is shocking though..!! :-(

Re: Kevin Ellison
Ouch indeed..!!
Got a lot of time for Ellison.. a real old fashioned "pro".
Would imagine he might have slid in with his feet should he have had that chance again though...

Re: “Get ready for a broken f'ing arm”
Bit crap isn't it...perhaps the Umpire could've had a word at the time? It's been funny with the Aussies..especially since the summer. The level of barbed comments, even from the coach, in interviews on TV and in the papers has - I think - got lower and lower. Fair play, they whooped England's behin...

Re: Match Thread - Plymouth v Daggers
Your comments about the Manager seem a little harsh. Any mug can stand there shouting and bawling but if the Plsters dont take it in whats the point. Give me more seasons like we are having and i wont complain. For me, it's all about how Managers & Teams respond to setbacks - that's a big part ...

Sounds a pretty tight affair from the stats?

Match Thread - Plymouth v Daggers
Good to hear Scott Doe is back in contention for this one http://www.daggers.co.uk/news/article/w ... 90267.aspx
Considering it's 3,798 miles away, in minus 30 degree temperatures and with coastal winds..I'd take a draw.

Having that many away games in this spell will be pretty tough...being the miserable git that I am, I'll be pleased if we're still as clear from the bottom by Christmas..!! ;-)

Re: ESC draw
I saw him play for Thurrock last year.
Scored a penalty, and did a few good passes...problem was, he could barely walk.
Was great while he was here..hope he doesn't bugger his knees up even more..

Re: Match Thread - Daggers v Burton
Very strong team performance! Certainly wouldn't say we were at our best on Saturday, but to come away with a 2-0 win against pretty tough opposition is pretty damn fine by me..!! :-) Think the Burton manager's obvious ploy of "lettin' 'em know your there early doors" kind of backfired som...
