Re: More signings

Lawless had a few knocks last season hence he was in and out, very good player who can hopefully stay clear of niggles.

Re: More signings

If we’ve signed anyone with an injury prone record surely that now down to the new Sporting Director?

Re: More signings

Tavares only played 31 games, 2 thirds of the season glad we didn’t resign him to be honest. This could work out very well indeed or it could go horribly wrong and be left with the bare bones each week, the later being more likely when it comes to rehab at our club. Still need 5-6 bodies in to have ...

He hasn’t been playing any football.

Re: More signings

And lots of injuries too, I’m a little concern half of the players we’ve signed have not managed a full season between them in a couple of years. Big risk.

Re: More signings

As far as I'm aware the sporting Director negotiates all the deals from a list of players the manager provides, I don’t think he is personally picking players for the club to sign over the managers head. Just leaves all the admin to someone else.

Re: Effiong

Overall I’m disappointed to see this. I totally get why we’re not extending him, he will want more money and a longer contract (that he has rightly earned) that is probably too much of a risk for us. But our replacements currently don’t seem to be even close to his level. On their day, yes, but not...

Re: Josh Hare to Boreham Wood

Remember he signed under McMahon when expensive contracts were handed out like confetti, my guess is budget had something to do with it and it just wasn’t deemed worth it. We also now have Rutherford down that side who has age on his side. Can you imagine what BW budget is at that level compared to ...

Re: More signings

Great signing Pereria. Appiah Forson has clubs in league 1 after him and wages treble what we would pay, not a chance he comes back.

Re: First Signing of the season.

Inih won’t be signing, would have done so by now if he wanted to stay with the terms offered.

Re: First Signing of the season.

A couple young players is nice to see, our squad that was left had a very old age to it. Jury is out for me on Umerah, was very good in a spell but has suffered with injuries of late, has the potential to be a very good signing but big ifs so I would hope another quality striker comes in.

Re: The Released Players Thread

I see York City have signed Ollie Pearce. Looks like we will be left with the dregs again like last season. :banghead: Eastman, Hess, Hill and Rees weren’t dregs, few more to go along with those and we will get going I’m sure. Seems like the season finished quite a while ago but we still have some ...

He won’t walk away it’s just mind games to get the current owner to pay up this bill or prompt some other kind of reaction.
