As far as I'm aware the sporting Director negotiates all the deals from a list of players the manager provides, I don’t think he is personally picking players for the club to sign over the managers head. Just leaves all the admin to someone else.

Overall I’m disappointed to see this. I totally get why we’re not extending him, he will want more money and a longer contract (that he has rightly earned) that is probably too much of a risk for us. A couple young players is nice to see, our squad that was left had a very old age to it. Jury is out for me on Umerah, was very good in a spell but has suffered with injuries of late, has the potential to be a very good signing but big ifs so I would hope another quality striker comes in.
