Re: FA Cup Draw Home v Leyton orient
I thought we were the better team but didn't create enough to win and they actually had the best chances, hitting the bar twice within seconds of each and they missed a sitter second half. Good shift from Romain and Ferrier caused them problems. Whiteley still a bit off for me but played okay second...

Re: Who did well really ?
I know Dean's dad. He was not very complimentary towards Still when I mentioned the Daggers. About the way he offers contracts or something..

Re: Torquay United (H) 26.09.17
A Torquay friend of mine whilst magnanimous thought they deserved something and he was right but we'll take that for sure. Not sure if pen was harsh until I see it again. Nice to see Doe back and looked solid. As usual Robson barely put a foot wrong and agree with others on MoM.. And yes an off game...

Re: Hawkins
Possibly, but he was justifiably behind Ferrier and Cheek so wouldn't of got in anyway but gets a start for a league two team..Like I said go figure..lupins wrote:Because the Manager knew he would leave so started with his likely combinations for when that situation arose.
Pretty sensible really

Re: Quite worrying......
Yes, a bloke at work who watches Bromley but doesn't have a season ticket said the weather put him off going so no surprise I think on the attendance- they didn't bring many either compared to last season

Re: TOO MANY NO LOOK PASSES
Draw was fair but they looked more likely in the last five and so it proved. Think we missed a trick by not going for it enough to get the second and when let them back into it, it had been coming.. Disappointed; defence played okay generally but two lapses...

Re: Portsmoth game
Well he scored 18 goals last season before he was injured. Not back for a duck (albeit a very big one).Just because he went downhill after that doesn't mean he suddenly turned rubbish. Maybe the conference is his level but I'm not having it that he was nothing short of very good for us

Re: Get in Joe!
I thought Gateshead looked the better team for significant periods and for me they sensed they could win and but for that save from Cousins they might of. I'll think they'll come away thinking they deserved something but it's testament to us that we dug it out without our best player and Ferrier not...

Re: Line Up On The Carpet
Well he scored plenty first half of last season when everything wasn't necessarily 'on a plate'. Out of form since injury and now limited due to Cheek/Ferrier but I think he deserves a chance to get back into a form and a goal might just do it for him.

Re: Line Up On The Carpet
Agree about Lokko, thought he was excellent at the back. People still keen to dig Hawkins out, they expect him to win balls that are two feet behind him. A player like that needs service and he barely got any but he still worked hard to hold the ball up and link play, as well as his customary defens...
