Re: New signings
I'm hoping our manager has a player in mind that he has seen and been impressed with.

Re: New signings
According to the Southend fans forum a very good player but at 33 years old very injury prone. A younger player on the up would be a far better option I believe.

Re: Local Derby
Better than the pre season friendly at South Shields!
Jesus, could they get any further away!
Agree, it is very strange arranging a pre season friendly so far away, perhaps it's a bonding weekend away for the players to get to know each other better?
Other than that, are we signing a player ...

Re: New signings
A great shame our manager's two first choice defenders from Hemel were also wanted by Forest Green but hopefully he has been working on other replacements to fill the gap. Also agree that we need at least one more striker and possibly two because not sure how many games we can get out of Andy ...

Re: New signings
We appear to have 16 players contracted so far this season of which we have 3 goalkeepers and it seems a lot of midfielders. Whether this means that Haigh is on his way out I sincerely hope not.
As I have said before it wouldn't surprise me if Lee Allinson is looking to offload Howes, Dieng and ...

Re: New signings
As I have said before, Haigh staying with us on a two year deal would be a huge signing for the club.

Re: New signings
We lost out to Forest Green in signing Kyle Ajayi the centre half and captain of Hemel Hempstead and it appears that the same will happen to Darion Dowrich a left back from Hemel Hempstead. If this is the case hoping he has replacements lined up.

Re: New signings
Lee Allinson's squad is taking shape, however, we currently have only fourteen players contracted of which three are goalkeepers. We also seem to have a lot of midfield players. Not sure how the discussions are going with Oteh,Lawless and Haigh.

Re: New signings
Always going to raise a few eyebrows given his surname, but he is a bloody good player for this level. He’s come out and addressed the elephant in the room and said judge him on his actions and not his surname, which is fair enough. The Tamplin saga was somehow 8/9 years ago and he would have been ...

Re: New signings
I'm a little sceptical so far. Probably because we've had so many false dawns over the last few years.
On paper they're 3 good players. But two of them are getting on and being given 2 year deals. I think their best years are behind them so I hope they're not part of the retirement home that ...

Re: New signings
Ashmore is a very good goalkeeper. I can see Howes leaving as Allinson rates Ashmore highly and describes him as the best goalkeeper in the league.
