Re: Chelmsford (h)

A poor first half where we could have been losing by more than one goal. Second half big improvement to go 3-1 up and despite Chelmsford going down to ten men seem to sit back and ended up only drawing when we should have won the game comfortably.

Chelmsford (h)

Having lost at Hornchurch and our faint hopes of getting into the playoffs seemingly over, we entertain a team who could still make the top seven.
We have been missing Joe Haigh for a couple of weeks through injury and hope he has now recovered and in the squad as he makes such a vast difference to ...

Re: Hornchurch A

The performance today has all been too often during this season. Our season has been plagued by inconsistent displays and that is why all we have struggled to get into the top half of the league rather than the playoffs.
It has been a very frustrating season.

Re: Hornchurch A

After that game and loss at least now we can now prepare for next season. I'm hoping we are close to appointing a new manager, who can then sort out what players will be retained for next season and what is needed to win this division.

I cannot find it either. Not sure if it makes a difference being a bank holiday?

Re: Hornchurch A

It won't be easy as our away form has been a bit erratic all season but hoping that Joe Haigh has recovered from injury and can make the squad.
We need to win to keep our very slim chances of the playoffs going as do Hornchurch as they still need points to confirm their place as well.

Re: John Still and Tony Fernandes spotted at last game

This John Still thing has had me going there and feeling quite depressed.
I didn't think anyone participated in April Fools these days.

Re: Special Announcement

For those of a nervous disposition you have probably pushed them over the edge with this announcement.
With the sale of season tickets starting today I think this shock news may have a detrimental effect on the number sold.
Apart from that, well done and look forward to your involvement with the club.

Re: John Still and Tony Fernandes spotted at last game

John Still is 75 years old and has been employed by Southend for a few years now on a good salary.
He has achieved some amazing things in football and will be remembered fondly but would be very disappointed if he was being lined up here again on the footballing side in any capacity.
Hopefully he ...

Re: Season Tickets

I genuinely think that next season is going to be fantastic and tickets will be at a premium. £250 for a seat and over 20 matches is a steal if the atmosphere continues like it has recently. And there is a small chance that we might be back in the National League. Let's give the club some credit ...

Re: John Grabowski -Chief Executive Officer

Anwar has already been announced as non exec Chairman, Fernandes is clearly part of it but I’m not expecting a big reveal for him, could be wrong.

I highlighted Anwar because their is no mention of him amongst the club officials in Saturday's programme, unless the effective date is sometime ...

John Grabowski -Chief Executive Officer

With this appointment announced and others to follow the Consortium is now starting to take shape. I understand Anwar Uddin is lined up for the role of Chairman and also assume that Tony Fernandes will be confirmed as part owner.
Hopefully all will be revealed fairly soon.

Re: Season Tickets

With most things going up in price these days, this seems a decent enough offer so as I have done for many years I will renew my ticket.

Re: Playoffs

Is there any point in talking about playoffs?
This season’s managerial farce is on a par with last season’s in my opinion, the negative approach by Bradbury condemned us to at least a second year in NLS, I’m almost tempted to say he was as bad as Young but that would be cruel on Bradbury. A ...

Re: New Manager?

I worded it badly, I didn't mean the same amount that Parkinson is earning with Wrexham, I meant a silly amount of money for a NLS team considering the Cowleys are managing two divisions higher.
