Re: FA Cup

Firstly cannot believe the official attendance as all the seating seemed to be full and they had to allow at least another hundred to stand behind the goal so not sure what or how the attendance could be accurate or possibly calculated.
We have a player such as Andy Carroll up front you need a ...

Re: FA Cup

I suppose a win is a win but this was very uninspiring. We started the game well and scored early and should have scored at least three or four in the first half an hour. After that however, we seemed to sit back and invite Bedford to attack us.
We managed a win because the opposition were fairly ...

Re: FA Cup

Let's hope we can win the replay. I did notice however, that Hornchurch lost for the first time this season to bottom of the table National League North outfit Peterborough Sports, so anything can happen in the cup.

I wouldn’t mind us getting knocked out if we were going for the title, but we ...

Re: FA Cup

Harsh last gasp equaliser after they offered nothing, ref cost us that game with a good goal from Carroll first 10 mins and then sent him off after their player rolled about and they surrounded the ref, never a red justice two players jumping. Robbed by the ref in this one.

It now means that ...

Re: FA Cup

Andy Carroll starting although Manager said he could only play about 30 minutes, he must of been bluffing.

Re: FA Cup

Are there still replays in the fa cup qualifying rounds?

In the early rounds such as these there are still replays. I believe it is from the First Round proper that replays do not take place.
I think this was mainly brought in by the Premier League teams did not want more games.
It’s a great ...

Re: Conor Lawless

A very good player but was very surprised we offered him a new deal with his injury issues.
If however, he is available to play soon would be someone who could do a good job in midfield.

But how long for? His history suggests he'll play twice then disappear with an injury for another four ...

Re: Conor Lawless

He was pictured training with the rest of the squad this week. Really hope the lad stays fit but can’t see it and it was yet another example of a poor decision to offer him another deal.

Conor Lawless

I cannot recall any injury updates from the manager regarding Conor Lawless. It’s a big if but when available he does add some bite and determination into midfield which is what we need at the moment. Does anyone have any information regarding his latest injury and when we are likely to have him ...

Re: Jerry Gill

I was pleased when he was first appointed because thought with his knowledge of football at this level would have been an asset.
Wish him well for the future as he seems a nice guy.

Re: When do we get to see the New Owners?

Okay I have since heard other things.

At least Ilford FC, when we’re in the Essex Senior League, will make a nice local derby in a year or two.

If we end up in the Essex Senior League as you suggest, perhaps we can then go back to being a Members Club because as I recall we didn't do too badly ...

Re: When do we get to see the New Owners?

Not sure if it means anything but Anwar Uddin was at the game Saturday and he is part of the new proposed ownership group I believe.

Re: Worthing home

We have now conceded seventeen goals in eight games and therefore not likely to win many games whilst averaging conceding two goals a game.
The defence is too wide open, for instance I believe Reggie Young is a good player but is not a wing back, he should be playing further up the pitch as his ...
