Re: Ross McCormack signs for Aldershot

Either he wants to resurrect his career and he'll score about 35 goals and single handedly get them into the playoffs.

Or he'll be turning up late to training within a month, lock himself inside his own house, and take the club's rising talent down the pub every night.

Should be good either way.

Was always nice and helpful to me, seemed like a good bloke. Thoughts with his family, RIP Simmo.

Re: O/T Macclesfield Town

There has to be a far more robust owners test and a far more robust financial fair play regulation at all levels. I know there's all sorts of legal disputes around limiting expenditure but rugby seems to have managed it, and Saracens got relegated for breaking it. Yes this will likely result in fewe...

Re: West Ham Ladies Pilot Scheme Match

Some pubs and restaurants are completely irresponsible and should really have their licences revoked. Seen all sorts lately, seating groups of more than 6 clearly from all different households, tables far too close together, no track and trace details being taken, staff not in any masks or using any...

Re: West Ham Ladies Pilot Scheme Match

If I get allocated one of the earlier entry times I probably won't be able to attend matches, especially midweek. Understand why they're doing it tho. Still not seen any details on how they allocate the standing areas. Might be nice if they did a survey nowish so that people can at least be put some...

Re: Refund?

Bit different. 40 quid to the club you support ( which you would've paid anyway if they'd played the games ) versus probably hundreds or thousands in tax to the Exchequer.

Re: Refund?

If you'd asked me for an extra 40 quid after carshalton away to not have to watch a Taylor side again, I'd have paid it. And paid for anyone who couldn't afford it.

Re: Refund?

I get the point about trinity given their resources, but right now they are making a big loss on this football club. They have invested in long contracts for some of the best players in this division and I think deserve our support in turn. Maybe we'll be able to sell several of them for a profit an...

Re: Refund?

Stop making such a fuss. They aren't going to announce it because it will increase the uptake and they need every quid they can get when were losing 5 figures a month during lockdown. If, as you say, it's a case of asking and you get, then I don't see what the problem is.

Re: Squad complete?

I know Wright can play in multiple positions but we already have 2 players for every slot in the team. I'm not sure about having so many 'versatile' players who aren't really exceptional in any one position. Still, he's backup and young, so perhaps Daryl can make a player out of him. My current read...

Re: Squad complete?

Adrian Clifton, and perhaps. I would steer well clear personally, he's 31 and hasn't score a competitive goal in over a year. I know almost all his games were as sub for Bromley but they would be for us too.

Squad complete?

Do we think Will Wright marks the end of our business in the transfer market? We certainly have a decent size squad now. In terms of the first team, I imagine at least 8 spots are pretty much nailed down now. Barring injury, I expect Justham, Reynolds, Clark, Johnson, Rance, Deering, Balanta and McC...

Re: Matty Cash

It seems the move to right back has really made him as a player. He didn't make quite the same impression as Worrall for us but clearly had some ability, I certainly wouldn't have expected this though! Hope he does well.

Signed for Ebbsfleet. Pretty galling that they now have both Dobson and Grant subsidised by us. You have to move on but ffs Taylor.

Re: Ebbsfleet

Thought he was way short of the standard in league two but wouldn't hold that against him, he was young and it was a better level, one of Wayne's questionable picks. He did well by all accounts when ebbsfleet got promoted, but they and Dover both got shot quite fast at this level. Last season he was...
