Re: Retained List

He'd be mustard in NLS and he knows what it takes to be a Dagger. I'd be delighted.

Re: New Goalkeeper- Sam Howes

He got a lot of plaudits with Wealdstone at this level and a move up, I didn't think he was perhaps quite as good then as some were saying, but this is a really decent signing for NLS. Would've liked Jake Turner but realistically he's probably not looking at regional football just yet.

Re: Retained List

I have no idea why we brought Rendall in as a CB then never played him there. He is so limited on the ball, yet we put him at RB where he is expected to contribute to the attack. I think he's probably ok as a stopper next to someone who can marshall him and cover when he goes diving in. Maybe we'll ...

Re: Retained List

Lingy great but if he's fit he's a NL player and if he's not then he's a big risk.

Didn't fancy Jones much personally. Bit surprised they're speaking to Harvey but could be ok backup.

Just hope we can offload the likes of N'Guessan, Rendall, Harrack, Khaleel. But imagine we might have to ...

Re: New Signing

He can play either. I guess the manager will want 442 and 352 options. So he's a good fit.

Re: Season ticket prices

I've bought one as less than 11 quid a game I feel like I can afford to miss 5 or 6. Could end being more. I like the look of some of the away trips this season but that's more for the laugh than for the football.

I'm not sure anything will shock the owners into life, not because they're malicious ...

Re: Who would be the right man in charge next season?

To be fair they did allow the candidates a week to put the PowerPoint presentation together. This is where Gray came unstuck as he had a virus on his laptop.

Re: Who would be the right man in charge next season?

From the names being thrown around, Scopes seems the best option. But he's spent a long time in lower leagues and not stepped up before. So a fairly big risk.

There's plenty of good managers out there if we look hard enough. The Horsham manager has a great record but now we're in the same league ...

Re: Season ticket prices

I had 3 emails for me and my two kids, so I would need to set up log in for all 3 if I renewed?

That's the way I've interpreted it. Because your name is against your tixr account and I couldn't see anywhere to add a name to a ticket. So surely if you try to buy all 3 on one account they'd all ...

Re: Season ticket prices

New site is a bit of a shambles. Can't renew two tickets on one account as I have two separate links. So I need to seemingly create two tixr accounts, one in each name.

And you have to go via the link to get the discount, no way to enter a code or anything.

In terms of setup, seems season ...

Re: Who would be the right man in charge next season?

Whatever we do we better do it quickly. Players will already be doing deals. We need to sort out the retained list.

I'd be happy with a proper football man as DoF like Stilly is doing at Southend. A Steve Pitt or Alan Devonshire type (not saying we could attract either of those but you get the ...

Re: Peter Taylor

I think Taylor originally did quite well considering the budget. A lot of managers would have had us dead and buried by the time the money arrived. The trouble came when he was able to build a "better" squad the following season and he couldn't - in fact it was dreadful and definitely not someone I ...

Re: How has it come to this?

I'd keep Phipps, Rees, Easty if he truly recovers from his hamstring issues, and Dion. In reality of course none of them other than maybe Phipps will want to stay. I'd try to cash in on Oscar if possible but I don't think he's been brilliant himself outside of a two month window. Would be good to ...

Re: Tamworth

On paper Strevs was not getting the required results and something had to change. Justham also was not playing well.

However I do strongly suspect behind the scenes issues played a part in that.

It's fine to move people on for football reasons but there's ways of doing that which have a bit more ...

Re: Must be nailed on now

Dion has been carrying injuries for months. If we weren't so desperate I doubt he'd have played so much. Rushed him back once again to try to drag us back into the Woking game, then had to go off at half time in the next game against Oldham. Fair play to the guy that he's willing to risk himself ...
