Re: New striker

General consensus on the Ebbsfleet forum is that they aren't that sorry he left as his end product wasn't good enough. Sounds a lot like Kandi to me but we shall see.

Re: Zakuani

One of the reasons we have a relatively decent goals against column is because we are so negative. And as pointed out, the lack of clean sheets is a worry. I definitely don't think we're particularly good at the back other than Manny and I welcome this addition.

Re: Quigley

Benson definitely missed loads of sitters in his first season. I saw him miss from about a yard in one game. 1 goal in 26 is far worse than Quigley has managed. Don't think you can say he's had a good 5 or 6 pro seasons either, he was loaned out a lot by Bournemouth and only played about ten games i...

Re: Zakuani

I assumed it was to replace Clark in the team but now feeling very downbeat at that speculation of a bid for Manny, hadn't even crossed my mind.

Re: Quigley

These misses from close range are getting worse, it's incredible how anyone can have done it 5 times already. It can be nothing but mental. We need to bring someone in though. It speaks volumes about the other options that Daryl is the third person in charge this season to start games with him.

Re: Who would we like McMahon to bring in...

His career is kinda passing him by for someone with a lot of ability.

Re: Who would we like McMahon to bring in...

I think Quigley is quite a good footballer but unfortunately he isn't a good goalscorer. He could probably play alongside a natural goalscorer and do well but when he's meant to be the goalscorer alongside a link man it's never going to work.

Re: Who would we like McMahon to bring in...

He was told to stay central and was very bad at holding the ball up, offloading it, or taking up good positions. He scored a few goals cos he could head the ball quite well, but I was glad to take the money for him. Right now he'd score a few but that's just the point - he is probably a lower league...

Re: Who would we like McMahon to bring in...

I thought he was massively overrated but at this point I'd snap your arm off for him.

Re: Club Statement/ Departures and Arrivals

Cautiously optimistic with these changes. Hope we can make a couple of signings and make some progress. Glad Terry is still around.

Re: Liam Gordon

I think he's a good one on one defender tbh, in the first half he made several good challenges and played out well from the back which we normally do quite badly. His big down side is positional but you could say that about Wright on the other side too. I didn't think he did much wrong today aside f...

Re: Why ???

Luque did far more defending than I've ever seen him do but it was a low bar. I think it's unfair to say he didn't have a go, he's just not very good.

Re: Why ???

I maintain that Luque is not good enough. But he's better than the alternative. Thought today was about the best it can get with the players available, so can't criticise much. We know several of those players aren't good enough, but at least they applied themselves today. Credit to the coaches for ...

Re: Jody Brown Post Match

Quite a balanced interview. Seemed a bit more plausible than some of his previous attempts to convince us that we played well. The insight into the dressing room and the types of tactical changes was very welcome, and he came across more convincing that Taylor has recently.
