I hope there is more to come for attacking signings. With Haigh moving in, we don’t really have a “talisman” as it stands. Someone who will change a match from midfield, or a striker who is guaranteed to hit 20+ goals. You need one if you want to win a league.
I’d still like to move on a Dieng or ...

Re: New signings
It won’t be Dowrich, he has signed a new deal with Hemel, reading the statement on Hemel’s website it looks like he failed medical at Forest Green that could affect him going into a full time environment so decided to sign a new deal at Hemel.
Has lead to a Hemel fan saying there were issues with ...

Re: Local Derby
Probably a mixture of the above and I am all for it. Pre-seasons don’t exist for the purpose of fans to attend, they’re there to build and test a squad. Getting practice in for a distant away day, and inevitably getting on the lash in Newcastle and building stronger team bonds are a huge part of ...

Re: New signings
A really good mix of young hungry players mixed in with a sprinkle of experience. Lacking at left back and also up top, not an injury prone player amongst them all.
Apart from Dieng, Marsh, Panter, Carroll, Harrack and Howes!
It is a great set of signings we are making and I’m enjoying it. I ...

Re: New signings
Not looking good for Dieng and Marsh.
As it has been pointed out, Lee mentioned them by name in an earlier interview as having experience that will be important to us this season. Obviously we know that’s nonsense as those two are incompetent, but it does make me think that he is trying to make ...

Re: New signings
Would like to know where we are with bringing back Haigh and Lawless.
Apparently we are now going in for Lomas, the other centre half from Hemel now Ajayi is gone. For left back, who knows. I can see a world where we could go back for Broad given his development. But no doubt Cov will want him to ...

Re: New signings
Always going to raise a few eyebrows given his surname, but he is a bloody good player for this level. He’s come out and addressed the elephant in the room and said judge him on his actions and not his surname, which is fair enough. The Tamplin saga was somehow 8/9 years ago and he would have been ...

Re: Retained List
The worst group of players we have ever had, so I’m glad to see it gutted and hopefully this lot will all be struggling to find new teams. They don’t deserve to work in football.
Agree with the above, the next step is to get rid of Marsh & Dieng. I’d add Nightingale to that list too. A young lad ...

Re: Welcome Lee Allinson
Fantastic news for us. We have done the right thing here and gone for a manager on an upwards trajectory, hopefully he can drag us with him. Also great to see that we signed him quickly and this will give him control over the retained list. Anwar has been doing a cracking job so far with every ...

Re: John Still
When he left Southend recently the fans were not too upset as they thought his recruitment was disappointing. Having said that, it seems that John Still is
a man in demand so good luck to him.
Fact is Still doesn’t do anymore what he used to do. How many non-league gems did he sign for ...

Re: John Grabowski
Spoke very well. But we have seen that before with Freund, and look where it got us. I’ll make my judgements based on actions and actions alone. Which so far he is doing well on as he got rid of Thommo and Bradbelly.
As for attendances, yes absolutely we have had 2000+ in regularly. Look at old ...

Re: Worthing
Joe Haigh pretending to be injured because his agent is in his ear and stan leech not going down for a classic in the ear of the ref red certainly didn’t help us today
In other news heard from one of the players dad’s that Sam cox is in the final two - Andy apparently has put his name forward.
A ...

Re: Managerial candidates
I’m not sure in what world established EFL manager Danny Cowley or NL promotion contender Luke Garrard are realistic possibilities. The club has been in a constant decline for over a decade and we are well off either of those levels. People have to accept that reality. If we want to get back to that ...

Re: Hampton and Richmond (h)
I think his biggest positive change was the easiest thing to do - he has massively improved the mood around the squad. He has stopped boring them with rigid sideways and backwards nonsense, trying to shithouse a 1-0 on the road to Chippenham, and instead is letting them be more direct. We never saw ...

Good. Let’s get the right man in now. I’m not doing another season in this shit league.
