Re: Commercial Manager

Shame to see someone made redundant. But how many commercial managers have we had and how much of an effect have they had? Think the money is better off being put into the playing staff for the time being.

Re: Retained List Due Soon

They still haven’t announced when the season will restart so what is the point in doing any contract negotiations right now? We can go and offer Manny or Croll, who will be bigger earners, contracts now but is it worth it if they decide to start the season in January (hypothetically)? Aside from tho...

Re: Could New Season Start On Time

Not a chance it will. Whilst there are still fears of a possible second wave we can’t go back as if we start up the season with a squad in place then lockdown is enforced again, then we are double-f****d. As previously mentioned, Ollie Bayliss has suggested a September start date for step one being ...

Re: Season Tickets 20/21

If I’m a player and I’m not out of contract this summer there wouldn’t be a chance that I’d accept to having my contract cancelled without already having an agreement to go elsewhere. Guaranteed income for a footballer at this level will probably be very hard to come by when June arrives. I’m not su...

Re: Season Closuer Nearer

As I've said along, cancel season, no ups or downs go again when it's safe to do so. That is the least controversial and easiest way to do it. Only top 2 will be moaning with 22 other clubs being happy to go again. Been mentioned elsewhere, but if Leagues are effectively Voided and we start again (...

Re: Season Closuer Nearer

It’s not reasonable to determine the table by something like PPG or how it stands now. There are too many things that need to be factored in that probably can’t be measured reliably. It’s not reasonable to play the full season out (currently) due to the contract issues, the part time element of the ...

Re: Finishing the season

Even though it defies all logic to do so, I really hope this season is cancelled with no one up or down. Will give us a better chance of doing what we should have done this season - take full advantage of the piss poor oppositions and get out of this godforsaken league.

Re: Reece Grant to Aldershot

Loaning a Striker to one of our direct rivals, in the relegation scrap. Is it just me that finds that a bit of a strange move ?. On paper yes, but in reality I can’t see it coming back to bite us in the arse. If he does well then maybe they will buy him back off of us, which is great news. But he w...

Re: Coronavirus

Big issue with just cancelling the season now is the whole Bury fiasco as it has a knock-on effect throughout the pyramid from League 1 down. I’m not a medical expert so I’m not going to say whether I think the league is making the right or wrong choice in regards to cancelling games, but if they do...

Re: AFC Fylde

Yes we should have sat on a draw, but it’s not DM’s style. If we want to have more results like Aldershot it’s almost guaranteed that we will have results like this on the way there. But that really was like watching Taylor again. It was absolute pants. Clark looked intent on giving away a penalty a...

Yeah I’m assuming that we have resigned him by the time this game actually goes ahead.
