Re: NL: Oldham Athletic (A) 7 October 2023
With Effiong now back and over the next couple of weeks others returning to fitness, things will hopefully improve, as yesterday away to an in form team was a good result. One back two out tho . Hill and Travares now join the list Hopefully not too serious as have been out best two players this sea...

Re: Aaron Blair
Not the firsr to look good at the level below is he. Saunders and McQueen are two to my recent knowledge, but never did it on a consistant basis at this level.
Was tottally ignored by two Managers despite all the hype if you cant challange Kendell then that says all you need to know

Interesting comment and one wonders how it has gone down in the dressing room.

Re: 2023: How did we get here
100% agree Dazza, we’ve been through this shit before and we’ll get through it again. We were never gonna pull up any trees this season, once they cut the budget. It’s a total rebuild on peanuts and even Alex ferguson would struggle with it. We just need a few bodies back and give strevs more to ch...

Re: 2023: How did we get here
Pretty obvious to me . We have on the whole have improved at the back. However we either sold certain goals or said thanks but no thanks to the other one , I of course refer to that lazy bastard who was the most potent goal scorer we had since Benson. Obvioulsy he was a high wage earner but if its g...

Re: 2023: How did we get here
Gotta say the pies 🥧 are nice, enjoy one before game. And Todd said about the pop up bar for the terrace lot! So how long does it take to put one up for christ sake! On the footie front pay peanuts ya get etc etc, the budget is simply not good enough for the level we want to be at, Talking about ca...

Re: 2023: How did we get here
Give you the answer. Survival in the Natational league first prority . The team will be recruited on that basis and if we are fortunate to recruit a team good enough to get promoted it will be done on a budget that is sustainanable Five years ago it was something everybody signed upto as we were on ...

Re: NL: York City (H) 3 October 2023
The worst decison has to be recalling Phipps after his red card suspension. Got turned for the winnning goal Saturday and tonight for the equaliser and countless times before the inevitable goal that was always coming tonight. The next worse decision is saving on a proven goalscorer for a headless c...

Re: NL: Aldershot Town (A) 30 September 2023
I can’t help but wonder if someone is waiting for Southend to go belly up and then we find ourselves with a few extra players. Wouldn’t be surprised, given the Daggers/John Still connection, if this has already been discussed. I think 4th October is d-day. HMRC need to have been paid in full or the...

Re: NL: Aldershot Town (A) 30 September 2023
In Paris for weekend so could not go but tuned in. Sounds a bit more promising up top but another late defeat after battling back is a kick in the guts. Predicted that this team are going to be a disciplinary job after watching the first game at Altrincham, and my feelings are being proved. Personsa...

Surely its not only Victor Meldrew with these thoughts after Leyton Orient have announced the appointment of their new Set Piece Coach.

Re: Freddie Sears signs
Honestly I’m a bit let down by this. He couldn’t find a club all summer and now he’s settled for us. Not quite the hungry fighting for the daggers profile that Strevs has been looking for elsewhere on the pitch. Then at 33 it is quite clearly nothing more than hoping for a quick adequate fix. It’s ...

May be we are so desperate for a goal the decision was made on the basis who was most likely to be a threat in their box , other then that i cant think of another reason

What now for Bungalow Strevs
Look there is no doubt that both Charlie and Sid are honest and hard working but today proved they are simply not good enough in this formation. Kendell needs a partner and Effiong could be it . Still hang out hope because of the goal return already 3 in 120 minutes when they have been on the pitch ...
