Re: Bloody Typical
Just out of interest then.....Would just harsh be fine instead of too harsh ? A goalkeepers mistakes are normally more memorable but that is part of the territory surely. This is his 3rd full season as the no1 and I personally think we afford him too many of these mistakes,in some areas he just has...

Re: Bloody Typical
People are being far too harsh on Lewington.

Re: One word to describe that...
What's frustrating me the most is that just as our away form starts to pick up, our home form completely disintegrates. Since the absolutely dire performance at Portsmouth, we've only lost once away. On the flip side, we haven't won at home since the AFC Wimbledon game which was just a few days afte...

Re: One word to describe that...
Very frustrated. Both teams were very average but we definitely had a greater threat than Morecambe. However, any time we got without 30 yards of the goal, we played at walking pace. Deserve to drop points if we're not going to have the ruthlessness to kill games off. It's not as if you can say they...

Re: Argh!
Thats him wears a Green Shirt and is meant to be a Goalkeeper. Forgive him that he cant do the basic requirement of any footballer i.e kick the bloody thing but thisvis shocking. It's weird how someone who can't kick a ball regularly kicks the ball further than any of our other players, even to the...

Re: Current players vs previous
Perhaps it's because I'm alot older now as well but I consider all those previously mentioned players as men. Almost sunday league-ish in the way that they were a group of lads who liked a kick about. Just so happens that they did it whilst earning money whilst playing for our club. I consider the c...

Re: Mansfield.
Wow, that's quite a rant you've gone on there, considering that I apparently agreed with you. I think the use of this 'John Still element' as a defence is a pathetic excuse. It isn't poor form, it's my opinion. And to be honest I doubt Burnett would appreciate it either. He has had plenty of time t...

Re: Mansfield.
Lewington RB - Doe - CB - Connors Ogogo - Bingham Hines - AM - Elito Murphy I would happily have Ogogo and Doe remain in our team because they signify the ethos of our club. However, we need a bit of patching up in the defensive areas and definitely another CM comfortable on the ball. I'd take D'At...

Re: Mansfield.
There is still a John Still element of this team which hopefully can be lost further in the summer with 2-3 more good purchases. Burnett's had a year to make his mark. Today's team included 6 players he signed, and 8 he didn't (but one of those was Shields who played all of once under Still). Of th...

Re: Mansfield.
Burnett is a beginning to look as clueless as he did last season. The subs today made no sense today at all. Putting a centre forward on wide while leaving a winger on the bench. Then gives the winger a few minutes. For all the calls for Norris to start he didn't do very much other than a few specu...

Re: Mansfield.
No matter what system/team is used there surely can't be a place for Azeez I'll give Azeez one bit of credit. He does win the flick on most of the time. If we have to play him anywhere, I'd rather play him on the right as often our goal kicks are aimed out here. Really, a front 2 should be looking ...

Re: Take a Bow Mr Ward
But 90% isn't really good enough. That covers throw ins and a few nothing fouls. He booked their player for their first foul correctly, but then failed to take any prompt action against equally bad fouls where he'd played advantage - one on Medy on the edge of the area then a lunge not long after. ...

Re: Mansfield.
We've lost our way at the minute. Burnett isn't clueless but he's struggling to find the right combinations at present. He doesn't know what his best team is either. Earlier on in the season our best team was obvious: Lewington Hoyte, Doe, Saah, Connors Howell, Ogogo, Bingham Elito, Murphy, Hines In...
