I know John Still loves the Daggers most sincerely as he has said many times but the thought of him being involved with us in any capacity would be a frightening prospect.
He did some great things here but those days are now long gone.
He has also been employed by Southend for many years and imagine he is on a pretty decent salary that hopefully will keep him there for some time.

What John Still has done for this club is not in question, he brought the most successful period in the clubs history and gave us some of the best experiences as fans, BUT he has proved himself to be mercenary when it comes down to having a carrot dangle in his face, how many times he has said he’s going nowhere then the next day f#ks off to Luton or Barnet, and the final straw going to Southend!
Thanks for the memories John but you’ve had your time, what we need is a hungry young manager who signs hungry young players, not journeymen looking for one last payday while laying on the treatment table.

Southend fans don’t think John Still has done a very good job as their head of recruitment, I would rather we not turn to the old boys club for assistance.

Tony was very nice when I spoke to him, not sure him being involved will be announced as such but he’s involved and investing so big win for us. That’s Grabowski, KSI, Fernandes, Bennett and the Freund group, 20% each?

I think you have forgotten Andy Carroll who has a small amount invested. Also is it still fact that Bennett and Freund would be involved now? Also Fernandes has vast business experience including running a championship team so was thinking he might be the major shareholder?

Freund group 100% still involved, forgot about Carroll so he might be in place of Bennett. Some guess work here but it would be nice for the club to confirm.

I believe John Still was watching us, like he has done a couple of times this season.
My Southend friend insists it is nothing more.

He has helped out a couple of times - like the times he would send Daryl hand signals from the Directors box.
Boy, did we need him doing that when Lewis Young was in charge. One win could have saved us from relegation.

Now, he is friends with Anwar and others. But I don't think there will be anything for him at the club, let alone the suggestion he may be on the bench as manager!!

It is nice to see him around though.

Not the only one to send Daryl some hand signals I'd wager.

The official site still states Grabowski has the significant control with 18% so either it is pending another update or nobody else has more than 17% which means at least 5 other shareholders.

It just seems a lot of guesswork at the moment and hopefully the club will issue an updated list of the owners shortly.
I say this because when it was revealed that KSI was involved there was a suggestion in some quarters that he had aquired 20% of the club.

Does anyone knows how long Stan contact is ? but get it extended before Still takes him down the A13. Nice to see old managers at the ground, ( see Peter Taylor was there yesterday) Gary Hill pops in every now and again but he is not associated with any club, if you know, what I mean.

With all the uncertainty until recently I would be surprised if he was on anything other than a contract till the end of the season.
Also, without the appointment of a new manager yet it is not easy sorting out who we would like to keep for next season yet but hope Andy Carroll may have an input into that once he is confirmed.

John Still is 75 years old and has been employed by Southend for a few years now on a good salary.
He has achieved some amazing things in football and will be remembered fondly but would be very disappointed if he was being lined up here again on the footballing side in any capacity.
Hopefully he will retire now.
