Views from the Sieve

A positive statement by Alan Jeyes regarding the takeover of the club which is very good to hear. I just hope that things can now be finalised soon and we can then move on.

Alan is a good guy who is trying and working very hard to unravel what is going on and deserves our support.

I've already read some counterproductive comments about his initiative in this regard on social media and suggest some of his, or members' committee critics, become members themselves and view the job these guys' are doing - or trying to do- in difficult circumstances to try and make the club more accountable.

Alan has only recently volunteered for the role and deserves all the support we can give him.

Exactly right, he has been working tirelessly to get to the point he can give an update all in his own spare time. Some will never be happy but that’s not his fault that’s the clubs fault.

The bit about the members club director not liking the `Bradbury out` chants 20 mins into the game at chippenham,

Its comes across abit like the club asked him to mention this to ease off the manager.

All I took away from this is that the takeover is still in progress (which they could have said ages ago) and that they are sticking by Bradbury (which is pathetic). I’m glad something has been said, but it does nothing to make me feel any better about the future of the club.

I’m just pleased the takeover is still on as that is what everyone wanted to hear.
With regard to Bradbury’s future at the club, the prospective new owners are not likely to be criticising the manager at this stage of proceedings, even if they thought that way. Nobody knows what they are thinking, we just need to wait and see what plans they have for the club.
Why can’t we just see the positives in this statement?

Clearly says there has been a restructure within the takeover hence it’s taken longer than anyone would have expected. I agree with the silly chants when we’re still in games, leave it until the end or a game that have gone completely as it serves no purpose but to add pressure on players that can’t handle standard pressure.

I don’t think Bradbury will last 5 minutes once the takeover is complete, unsackable until it happens.
