Hemmings? The 34 year old youngsterBB-Dagger wrote: Sat Jul 12, 2025 9:56 pm If he stays fit! BIG question isn’t it? He’s had a career blighted by injury but IF he can stay fit he should be an asset not only on the pitch but also in the dressing room his experience could be priceless. (the influence he could have on youngsters like Hemings could be immense) but a 3 year contract… unheard of at this level unless it’s combining a coaching position.
I might even consider going for a pre season twerk and jerk to watch the Colchester game now.
Is there no humour allowed on here?Lcbdagger wrote: Sat Jul 12, 2025 10:02 pmHemmings? The 34 year old youngsterBB-Dagger wrote: Sat Jul 12, 2025 9:56 pm If he stays fit! BIG question isn’t it? Actually always did okay for England when he got the chance but never really fitted in the system as out and out No.9. Scored a great bullet header against France in the Euros. Let's be honest this is the nearest thing well get to a marquee signing so let's embrace it!NBDag wrote: Sat Jul 12, 2025 10:07 pm I’m not convinced. Never delivered for England and he looked out of his depth when he signed for Liverpool and for West Ham afterwards.
Right service is key... Desperately need a midfield with more attacking intent than last season... The amount of backwards and sideways passes out of the back three and central midfielders last year I'm not sure how many goals he would have scored for us had he been here.digdagmalc wrote: Sat Jul 12, 2025 11:13 pm He'll score a bucket load. He's playing against NLS defenders. We give him the right service, he'll get loads.
This is a great night to be a Dagger!!!
Let's be positive, embrace the change, and see where it takes us.
We've gone from Serry to this. It's fantastic for the club. We have lift off!
My comment was very much tongue in cheek!RM1Dagger wrote: Sun Jul 13, 2025 12:23 amActually always did okay for England when he got the chance but never really fitted in the system as out and out No.9.
