UTTERLY SHAMEFUL

Post by SUSSEX DAGGER » Sat Nov 30, 2019 5:36 pm

What a complete and utter shambles that was dominated the game but we managed 3 efforts on goal.

Nothing in.the box where it matters, Chorley simply wanted it more worked hard for each other and deserved it.

Quigley is worse then.useless . Grant when.he came on was even worse , our only goal threat was Kandi and was to wide.
We end. Up with Will Wright up top.

Few more replaced seats and another left back may buy a few. Off but we cant hide the fact that if something is not done soon our season.could end in disaster. We have lost to two part time very poor teams in days
We need at least 4 loan players by next week cos half of this lot are not fit to wear the shirt

Gutless and effortless from the moment we went a goal down. The players let their heads drop and put in minimal effort to get back into the game. we are a discrace at the moment and even with the injuries we really shouldn't be in such poor form in a league as open as it is this year. No excuse for what we've seen the past couple of months, changes need making and I don't see that happening anytime soon unfortunately

Welcome to Dagenham and Redbridge - the only professional football club in the world where they don't sack appalling managers. Enter Mr Wayne Burnett and Mr Peter Taylor. In both cases they should have been jettisoned long before they were but in the crazy world of D+R, diabolical results are fine. Does Steve Thompson ever watch Sky Sports or read newspapers? There are 3 professional football clubs near us called Arsenal, Tottenham and Leyton Orient. All 3 have realised that their managers were no longer cutting the mustard in the past few weeks and made some very difficult decisions, one of them was a Champions League finalist less than 6 months ago.

In the faux happy world of Daggerland, the board much prefer to bury their heads in the sand and pretend that everything is fine, sacking a failing manager takes a lot of effort and costs a bit of money after all......

Ok Duke fair enough promise not to make any further reference to our priorities

Instead I will put it more bluntly.

We have a Manager who has spunked a budget on the biggest load of Cowards ( one or two exceptions who were all John.Still signings) who have ever pulled on a Daggers shirt.

Seen more guts in a cod fillet and more bollocks on a castrated donkey then what 11 out of that 14 showed today.

If the Manager or any of his players dont have the heart or passion to show what being a Dagger is about then get out of our Club.
Last season we at least had players who gave everything even in the darkest hours and could show this, lot a thing or two about what this Club is about.

Our games to points record after 24 played, is now nearly identical to last season.

No improvement - OFFICIAL.

Time to go for Taylor, and his staff.

Though it was an improved performance to the past two games in the sense that we genuinely knocked the ball about pretty well until the final ball, that's possibly the most worrying aspect because there didn't seem much else we could do. We aren't good enough to beat a very poor Chorley side who will finish in the bottom four.

From the moment I saw the surroundings yesterday it was obvious we were in for a gritty battle, but it was just as painfully obvious that we wouldn't be up for the battle and so it proved with Chorley bullying us in both boxes. They were a team determined to win for one another, with a strong sense of spirit throughout, and that's something we just don't have. Not enough players are determined to change our situation or take a risk, which is why this game unfolded like so many others in recent weeks. As soon as Chorley took the lead with a sensational finish in all fairness, we knew it was game over.

With so many injuries, there's little incentive for the players on the pitch to do well. It's not like the ones on the pitch yesterday had the attitude of 'I need to have a stormer today or I'll be dropped' - the management team's hands are tied in regard to the lineup and we'll go on losing game after game in the process. Here are a few stats that sum up where we are at the moment:

- Six straight away defeats with two goals in the process
- Eight goals away from home all season, two fewer than the next worse total. By contrast, Barrow have 28.
- Two wins in two months, against teams in the bottom four at the time
- Three straight defeats to teams in the bottom five
- Eight losses from the past ten games

And yet we wake up to Peter Taylor still being in a job.
