If looking for a left back of the opposition I saw last season Eduino Vaz looked useful in defence and attack.
Played for Hampton and Richmond last season on loan from Sutton and stood out in a poor side and he is only 23 with a lot of experience in NLS.

Another midfielder, not looking good
on the Haigh front

We appear to have 16 players contracted so far this season of which we have 3 goalkeepers and it seems a lot of midfielders. Whether this means that Haigh is on his way out I sincerely hope not.
As I have said before it wouldn't surprise me if Lee Allinson is looking to offload Howes, Dieng and Marsh if he possibly can.

As it has been pointed out, Lee mentioned them by name in an earlier interview as having experience that will be important to us this season. Obviously we know that’s nonsense as those two are incompetent, but it does make me think that he is trying to make the best out of them being here next year. After all, for them to leave we’d need someone stupid enough to take them.

I’d say it’s more not looking good for us re-signing Lawless & Haigh. Lawless we have replaced well, but Haigh is a real shame.

Agreed its a shame to lose Haigh if he does go, but Crichlow, Thomas, Beautyman and Papadopolous are all attacking midfielders so we look to have tried to cover that base.

I would expect both Crichlow and Thomas to play wide but the other two are comfortable in the 10 and Beautyman scored 10 and 11 goals in the last two seasons in the division above.

With only Panter, Graham, Lusala and Harrack as our defensive options, personally i would expect 2 cb's in and a starting Left back along with one more striker minimum as we only have 2 strikers currently, Carroll and Leech.

A great shame our manager's two first choice defenders from Hemel were also wanted by Forest Green but hopefully he has been working on other replacements to fill the gap. Also agree that we need at least one more striker and possibly two because not sure how many games we can get out of Andy Carroll.

Henry Hawkins is a Dagger. Central Defender from Enfield Town. Look pretty good at Enfield last season.

A really good mix of young hungry players mixed in with a sprinkle of experience. Lacking at left back and also up top, not an injury prone player amongst them all.

Apart from Dieng, Marsh, Panter, Carroll, Harrack and Howes!

It is a great set of signings we are making and I’m enjoying it. I still want to see us shift some of the existing deadwood though as that’s where our biggest weakness is

I know it's been said that behind closed doors our business is done, and so far has been quality, BUT Nathan Ralph has decided to leave Southend left back/centre back with experience and a leader... would you want him as I think he'd be a quality addition if we could get him!

According to the Southend fans forum a very good player but at 33 years old very injury prone. A younger player on the up would be a far better option I believe.
