Just when we thought we'd seen it all with Dagenham this year...

Iโm not convinced. Never delivered for England and he looked out of his depth when he signed for Liverpool and for West Ham afterwards.
Actually always did okay for England when he got the chance but never really fitted in the system as out and out No.9. Scored a great bullet header against France in the Euros. Let's be honest this is the nearest thing well get to a marquee signing so let's embrace it!
My comment was very much tongue in cheek!
Haha, fair... context does not always translate in text!

Absolutely fantastic news, great publicity
for the club and should boost attendance figures.

My thoughts exactly.

Very interesting. Knew he was local and needed a club round here for family reasons. But was expecting someone maybe even an Orient or a Colchester might fancy him.
If he's fit and interested then he could get a bucket load at this level.

I don't know anything about social media or indeed participate in it apart from this but looking at X very impressed with the way we announced the signing of Andy Carroll our new owners and our new strip.
The various interviews with Andy Carroll are so slick and professionally done and whoever is responsible should be congratulated.

Just when you thought you'd absolutely seen it all in this most unhinged year of Dagenham's history already...
We've been taken over by Qataris, with Andy Carroll as marquee signing and part investor!
Let's digest this then...

In all my years of supporting the Daggers I'm certain this is the first time that we have an ex England player on our books.
Not sure how things will pan out but certainly seems a far cry from the disastrous time we have all had over the last six months.

6 months? The last 15 years have been a disaster, not one decent season bar one season of play offs and all overseen by one man who I might add continues to be paid a handsome salary, but for doing what?

Warren Barton played a few times for England didn't he? Also, don't forget that Abi Baruwa was not only an international for Nigeria but was an Olympic gold medallist and part of a World Cup squad!

Think Peter Taylor played a couple of times for Redbridge Forest.

He played for Dartford and Maidstone but not for Redbridge Forest.

Yes forgot about Warren Barton, he apparently played just two games for us.
