I've got one thing to add to this rather 'interesting' (sic) discussion:

I am currently awaiting proof that my statement was correct. If it finds out I am wrong (a rare occurrence btw) then I will accept I am wrong and amend things accordingly. But my sources tell me I am not wrong.

Dave Bennett mentioning the flags is ill advised when Glyn Hopkin is trying to resolve things amicably. His 'personal opinion' was hugely inaccurate as proven in my post. If the club really wants everyone to pull together then people should shut up and not give interviews about subjects and meetings that they have not been party too.

Also, having such a dig at the supporters club, who IMO do a brilliant job, is not the way a director of the football club should behave.
Have you got proof yet regarding the offending email being sent to all future opponents yet or can we have your promised apology/amendments/whatever?

So we have a 430 word section on DiggerDagger on flags, resulting from me asking Dave Bennett what was going on, and a 2000 word rambling response from the Supporters Club stating there are innaccuracies in what Dave told me, but actually confirming events in the main part, the differences being a matter of perspective really as best I can tell.

My advice to all parties here is stop whining about each other and actually sit down to talk this issue, and how they work going forward, out. The Supporters Club cannot decide which members of the board it talks to and which it doesn't, and the board needs to work with the Supporters Club in a sensible way so everyone is pulling together.

What is your intention Mike in making this post, other than to inflame and stir up things that are already in process? If you were really concerned about unity and peace, you'd stand back and leave the supporters club and the football club to have a meeting, which they are in the process of arranging.

Come along Merge, he's following up your own post in which you said you were getting proof of what you had posted. Have you got the proof?

I have had the proof verbally, others have seen sight of the email. I am waiting for a copy to land in my hands.

Many thanks for your advice - I'm sure everybody is most grateful for it. As it happens, I believe that a meeting has finally been set up between the relevant parties, with the exception of a couple of the relevant Board members who have declined to attend.

We know there's an email. The question remains as to whether it was sent to 21 clubs. On a related note, you posted to the effect that Thommo should be reprimanded if he had taken the action alone, but if it was Glyn Hopkin who took the decision, do you think he should be reprimanded? He doesn't own the club (yet).

Happy to offer advice any time. As noted several times now, by several people, it is time for all to be pulling together and this is a total storm in a teacup.

I believe that the board are putting up representatives so that there are not too many disparate voices at the meeting at the suggestion of St Glyn of Hopkin so all should be happy for he sayeth it, therefore it is good.

I hope the SC reps raise the winter coats thing.
