Would have liked the Truro game a little later just from my point of view of getting to it.

Very tough first game. Will show us where we are at almost straight away albeit just the one match.

I’m pleased we’re not meeting Chelmsford until much later in the season.

And of course, we’re at home last game of the season.

It will be interesting to see if the home v Weston Super Mare game on the 23rd January goes ahead.
I have a significant birthday that week so expect a party in the bar after the game.

We have to play Dorking and Torquay in the first two weeks, teams that are likely to be up there looking to be heading the division.

In case anyone is looking at Truro away. I believe there are still flights from Southend to Newquay. Not sure of the timetable or bookings, but it could be a possible travel option.

Gutted I can’t do Truro typically away for summer holidays. The airline that did the Southend route went bust so no flights, Stansted is an option but as it’s so late to book and a bank holiday weekend flights are £270!

Tough start but others will say the same about playing us, we need 4 wins from the first 6 to have any chance of winning the league.
