Much more optimistic than I would have been a few weeks ago. Need a win to maintain pressure on playoff positions.

Surely this has got the makings of a classic derby and I like many of the 600 priveledged to be able to grab a ticket for a nice Spring day, 3 straight wins on the trot sets us up nicely and a Stan Leach's hatrick heroics last game too, be a few familiar faces in the opposition and after Boxing Day heartache hope we come away more even stevens, lets make it a derby to be all proud of from both sides with great vocals and decent banter keep it clean lads were all in this together!

No disrespect at all to Hornchurch, but (even with their current League position) we surely can't finish this travesty of a season with Home and Away losses to this team, after also losing the awful pre-season friendly a couple of years ago... that's a damning indictment on where we are as a club

HAVE to get at least a point tomorrow for my own sanity

I wasn’t lucky enough to get a ticket in the away end so I’m having to settle for a ticket in with the home supporters, I know we’ve been told there will be stewards looking for Daggers fans but it’s not us members of the older generation that they will be looking for, so im just going to stand noisily with my pyrotechnics and hopefully enjoy the game :thumbu:

It won't be easy as our away form has been a bit erratic all season but hoping that Joe Haigh has recovered from injury and can make the squad.
We need to win to keep our very slim chances of the playoffs going as do Hornchurch as they still need points to confirm their place as well.

I cannot find it either. Not sure if it makes a difference being a bank holiday?

No MixLR from our side.
Nothing on BBC I could find

Hornchurch does have a YouTube commentary that is cutting in an out.

I am so tired of the heat and humidity of the summers in the southeastern USA.

Bit like a home game on a bank holiday Monday, when parking near the ground... Does these parking restrictions apply today 🤔

You’re missing nothing! So far a pathetic performance with no obvious tactics other than hoofing the ball straight back to them they are shit but we’re making them look reasonable. Shit performance shit ground and shit chance of getting any sort of result

That was absolutely awful, but hopefully will confirm to our owners that we need a wholesale clearance over the summer if we are to challenge next year. You wouldn't have known it was a derby at all, no intensity from us whatsoever. I won't name individual performances as there were too many bad ones to name. At least this will now stop the unrealistic playoff talk we've had for the last however long.

After that game and loss at least now we can now prepare for next season. I'm hoping we are close to appointing a new manager, who can then sort out what players will be retained for next season and what is needed to win this division.

We’ve served up some dross in recent years, we’ve served up some dross in years gone by (same as any other club I guess), but I think that is top of the pile in embarrassing performances.

Baring in mind the level we are now out, baring in mind we are playing a part time team, baring in mind it was a derby at an athletics track against a team we should be embarrassed to even be playing, that is as bad as I can remember.

I would keep three or four of the starting side and get rid of the rest. No fight, no leadership, no ability, no anything.

I left the ground at 2-0 as we were never going to get back into the game, crap performance all round and the stadium itself is just not suitable for football, good luck to HX but I can’t see the national league allowing that ground in the league, makes Wealdstone look like Wembley :)

On the tube home...that was embarrassing. Hornchurch are having a great season but we just didn't turn up with any heart or application. As bad as I've seen this season.
