Our first away game of the season takes us 200 miles to Rochdale, where we'll be looking to replicate our impressive victory from February.
Like ourselves, they were victorious on opening day and comfortably so too at Boston, but this is likely to be a tougher follow-up assignment for both sides.
Ryan Hill could return to the side out wide, leaving a choice between Junior Morias and Reece Grego-Cox as to who starts through the middle, while Sam Ling could also reclaim his right-back spot if fully fit at the expense of Trent Rendall.

I'm looking forward to this one... We looked far better at the weekend going forward quickly rather than when we played the England style slow passing around the defence and midfield. I don't know is we expected Wealdstone to sit back on us but I feel our style of attack will look better, especially out wide against a team we can counter attack and who will come at us.
Could easily get a heavy defeat after the way Rochdale started the season but this is a great yard stick for the next few months.

It seems an eternity ago last time we ventured on an away so no doubt like many looking forward to this one plus the added incentive of great weather, bring it on, from what I was hearing last Saturday a fair few are going for it. Typical Old traditional Northern ground with some good watering holes wether a few stops in Manchester bars first or 12 miles further. Seems Devante Rodney was on fire last weekend at Boston so they better watch him, One game in you really cant take to much but certainly notice how eager daggers wanted those 3 points and we have our Rodney in Pereira and with Grego-Cox, Morias and Josh Rees when was the last time we had such a good selection of strikers, very impressive. Big test very early this but I have a feeling were pull this one through with good vocals from us.
Would happily take a draw from tomorrow given how they started last week. Tough decision for us to pick who starts down the middle. Tbh neither RGC or Morias look fully fit, and I doubt Umerah is either. So hopefully whoever starts is replaced at 60 and we can really make the most out of our strong bench.
2-2. Perreira and Hill to score

Our defending from set pieces is abysmal.

We need a big striker, current options don’t suit the way we want to play. Fortunate not to be 2-3 nil down at half time yesterday, with nobody to really aim for and hold the ball up it just kept coming back. We defended superbly mind and have the best keeper in the league, how EJ made that point blank save first half I’ll never know. Great point as I think they’ll be around top 7 this season, many teams would have crumbled under that pressure.
I’d like to see a more positive mindset at Woking Tuesday, have to go there and get all 3 points. Grego Cox can’t play so Morais will come back in.
How good is Dion, hope that Loan deal doesn’t have a recall clause for him to play higher as without him we would be looking at another bottom half finish.

Happy take a point from that. Sounds like we were really on the back foot for most of the match and the plan was to rely on individual brilliance to get us through. Definitely agree we need a bigger number 9 than RGC. We could see this from Wealdstone, and hopefully Umerah is the answer.
I think we still need another defensive midfielder for the squad. We need someone who can come off the bench and just empty the tank for the last 20 mins when we’re holding onto a lead. I think we’ll be pretty hard to beat if/when we have that tactic at our disposal.
Luckily there is no recall clause for Dion, no idea how we pulled that off.

A really dogged performance and battling performance, though nobody could have complained if we were two down minimum at half time having been unacceptably unacceptably passive.
Thankfully the brilliance of Dion Pereira saw us ahead through our first meaningful shot and from after that we settled and looked like we could hold on.
Unfortunately not but it's a good point.
With the ball constantly coming back at us, thought we needed someone with more pace and/or strength than Grego-Cox. Him being ineligible on Tuesday could prove handy.

After withstanding huge pressure to take the lead with their very first shot on 52 minutes, Daggers were unable to hang onto three points, but one was more than pleasing in the circumstances.
