My sources say he was offered a deal with a deadline and did not sign so offer was withdrawn and we signed N’Guessan. Is he now crawling back to us after struggling on his many trials higher up? Great player but is it really worth breaking the new wage structure for a player who didn’t want to be here, get he wanted to play a higher level but there seems some agent tricks at work here? Probably end up at Southend now they’re splashing the cash. Given we now have injuries in Midfield we might have to get him signed.
it’s always about the poxy agents, there a pain in the arse.
Same as inny he was given a deadline, agent says we’ll get something better.
Then no one wanted him, tried but too late to get back to us and now at braintree!
And with respect to them, they would never have been on inny or agents radar.

If this rumour is true then couldn’t give a flying fook what circumstances he was or is under when negotiating with the club. We are much better off with him in our team, despite signing N’Guessan, and that’s all I care about. If he earns a lot when here, then fair play he is arguably our best player after all. Also if we sign him on a 2 year deal he will be sold next summer for a good fee and we again will be better off for having signed him. Let’s hope it’s true, you cant have enough players like him in your squad.

Let’s say we sign him and pay him much more than anyone else which would be the case, is that good for team morale? We went down the spend spend spend route and failed, I like how the new owners are doing it, if you’re not committed enough jog on. Would I love KAF here absolutely I would but to break the new wage structure and piss off what is a good squad, no thanks.
I think anyone that was here last season would have good morale irrespective of what he’s paid, because they’d recognise he was crucial to turning our season around and we are a completely different prospect with him here. If I was N’Guessan I’d feel let down, but that’s on him to prove himself to be better. But ultimately if players are going to throw their toys out the pram because one of our best players is on one of the best salaries, then they’re just as uncommitted to us as what you think KAF is…Diggerthedog wrote: ↑Tue Jul 30, 2024 5:09 pm Let’s say we sign him and pay him much more than anyone else which would be the case, is that good for team morale?
